Very helpful staff, and gave us an early check in free of charge. The bathroom was quite dirty though and the shower wouldn’t go hot the next morning. Building is a little run down but it was nice enough, and good enough for what we needed.

Arawa hotel is a fine option for the Rotorua area. It is a bit old. The room is very spacious, but most things in the room look relatively old. The restaurant though is very good and very spacious! Staff service (both at lobby front desk and the restaurant) is excellent. There are some restaurants around the area which are good as well.

The property was in great condition. We liked our room which was superior Queen room had two very comfortable queen beds. Bathroom was nice and clean. Room had air conditioning which was the plus point. There was a ceiling fan too. Will recommend to people with young kids as have a lot of space for kids to run around and it was very quiet at night so they can sleep better.

Great value for the price. It was a little run down, but we expected that so we were very happy with what we got for the price. The staff were happy ro store our bukes free if charge, the parking is free, easy and convenient, the room was a great size and had everything we needed including a good size fridge. Great size for a family of 4. Nice and peaceful, we only heard the sound of cicadas outside our window.

Level 1 had no ramp to get to level do we had to lift all suitcases up stairs. Long walk to room from entry point. Received complementary upgrade to spa suite where spa was disconnected and not working. On the upside, it was well priced, it was quiet and clean enough for an older hotel. Rooms were large. Beds and linen were soft and clean.QR codes unavailable,no printed information available had to contact Reception. Insufficient coffee and milk supplied for number of guests staying.No towel rail or anywhere to hang clothes in bathroom,had to put on floor. We were not informed ,guided or supported before,during or after practice fire drill?? Recommend staff training in basic hospitality. $10 returnable was supposed to be back in account in 2 hours 4 hours later still nothing. Again poor customer service. Wouldn’t recommend or return.
