Great location and a very helpful staff. Our room was a small suite with 2 bathrooms at a great price. The rooms were dated but it was a lovely place to stay in the middle of Germany.

Great location within the historic city walls. Parking not so easy, so be sure to reserve a space that unfortunately will be at least a 10 minute walk back to hotel.

I absolutely loved the Hotel Eisenhut, and I hope that my travels bring me back to lovely Rothenberg ab der Tauber - really a place like no other. This hotel is wonderful artifact of another time, though updated in a stylish, modern way. Right in the center of the Rothenberg walled town, it is a short distance from everything there is to see. The staff are very professional and kind. We were on a driving tour and the hotel has about 12 remote spaces (for an extra 12 euro fee) in an old horse stable a few blocks away. Note: the village center of Rothenberg is a tight, narrow pedestrian village; so don't follow Google navigation, as it may take you on a dedicated pedestrian route. We ate our meal in the hotel's restaurant which was superior. We stayed in one of the hotel's two-room suites which I highly recommend for their spaciousness and comfort (two bathrooms) Kudos to the hotel's owners for architecting such a lovely, welcoming place to enjoy the best Germany has to offer. Thank you!!

Beautiful room and lobby. Bed was good, but firmer than we like. Staff was nice and helpful. Hotel was a good value for our money. Nice bottle of wine for 9 euros. Didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

A Quaint and Charming Place
This was our second time at Hotel Eisenhut. Our room was quaint, clean, nice sized, and we received candy and bottled water. We love the proximity of this hotel to the old town and the view from our window. The front desk staff printed train tickets and were very friendly with smiling faces. Check in/out was super fast. The only negative thing was that our bathroom had no shower curtain or anything to prevent water from going on the floor. We managed to wipe up the floor, and took gentle showers.

What a wonderful hotel in the heart of the city! Excellent rooms with so much character and a comfortable bed. The staff was wonderful; we arrived prior to our check-in time and they kept our bags safe & secure for us giving us more time to explore the city. The breakfast was so plentiful and delicious and was only rivaled by the hotel restaurant’s wonderful dinner. With history, charm and a wonderful staff this is a charming hotel that’s hard to beat. Highly recommended!

It's a nice hotel, with European art wall paintings in the lobby. My room was clean. It's located just steps away from Market Square where The Night Watchman meets people for a tour of the history of the city. The only sonewhat negative things were, and this first one is not that big of a deal, but my room was across the street from the lobby, which I hadn't seen before. The other negative was I had to check-out eatly in the morning, and the lobby didn't open until 6:30, so I had to leave my key in the room because I had to take a train to my next destination. Those 2 negatives ate not enough to discourage me from staying there again.
