I have stayed at the Am Kai 334 a few times due to work, biggest mistake I made was informing my work colleagues how convenient it was to stay there and be able to walk to our work vessel on new change day, as they started to also book rooms, leaving me to search other alternatives. The rooms are immaculately clean, and have the best showers I have ever used. The staff are very helpful and resolve any queries you may have on booking a taxi, shopping areas, local restaurants etc etc. The area is so quiet I have the best sleep ever.

I went for work nearby, but have stayed here twice now, and have sung its praises so much, that other staff members have also started to stay there now.

The “hotel” is attached to a training centre, so was difficulty to find as could not see signs for Am Kai Hotel. I finally found the entrance and was given my keys to the room. The rooms are amazing, lovely size, very clean and the best shower I’ve ever had, breakfast the following morning as varied from normal European breakfast but also a full English fried breakfast, which was constantly refilled. Plenty of juices and coffee to drink. There are not places nearby for food/drinks nearby, but I bought items from the train station to eat so no problem for me. I will definitely use the hotel again as it was within walking distance for the local train station (Rostock Marienehe) and the place I was visiting.

This is not an hotel! It is a dormitory in a school for seamanship. It’s a 20€ taxi to the town. And 20€ back. Beds are dormitory level. One soap container in bathroom - take a handful to the shower and make it last. It is very clean, breakfast options are quite good. Expedia should be clear this is choice only if you have a car.

Die Rezeption war zu keinem Zeitpunkt erreichbar für Rückfragen u. ä. Die Lage war abgelegen. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ließ zu wünschen übrig. Der Check-In war kompliziert und nur telefonisch machbar.

Was man wissen muss: man hat sein Zimmer - darüber hinaus bestehen keinerlei hoteltypische Leistungen und kein Service: Keine Empfang, keine Sitzmöglichkeit ... nichts. Das ganze ist mittem im Industriegebiet und mit Öffis schwer zu erreichen. In der Ausbildungskantine gibt es morgens ein Frühstück, was ok ist. Das einzige, was an ein Hotel erinnert, ist der Preis. Im Grunde ist es eine Frechheit, dies unter Hotels zu führen.

Lage zwischen Warnemünde und Rostock. Der Mann an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hat viel erklärt. Man sollte siche jedoch entweder für Warnemünde oder Rostock entscheiden wenn man im Urlaub unterwegs ist, ansonsten heisst es fahren bis zum nächsten Restaurant.

Es gibt viele Parkplätze vor dem Hotel. Wenn man jedoch ohne Auto on die Innenstadt möchte, fährt Sa. und So. der Bus nicht und zur Bahnstation muss man ca. 17 Minuten laufen. Zu Fuß durchs Industriegebiet braucht man ca 35 Minuten zum Neptun Center und noch etwas länger bis zum Hafen, Cafés und Geschäften. Im Flur gibt es eine kleine Kleine Küche, mit Wasserkocher, Toaster und Microwelle, sowie einen Kühlschrank, zudem jedes Zimmer einen Schlüssel für ein eigenes Fach hat. Der Fahrstuhl wird am Wochenende und Feiertagen nur zum Frühstück freigegeben, sonst kommt man nur über das Treppenhaus in die oberste Etage zu den Zimmern. Das Frühstücksbuffet war lecker und hat auch für Veganer was dabei gehabt.

Ok rum, slarvig info om ankomst

Det är 3 höga våningar upp och hiss finns inte där nyckeln hämtas, vet ej om man kommer in i receptipnen under kvällar och helger så lite varning till de med handikap. Vi fick slarvigt skrivet mail med fel kod till nyckelskåpet och väldigt svårt att nå någon på de nummer som angivits. tog 30min att få tag på nyckeln. I övrigt ett ok rum när vi väl kom in. (all info ges endast på tyska)
