Our stay was very nice and it's a very nice hotel. However, there was a big SNAFU when we checked in a little before 2pm. They assigned us room 206 at first and gave us key cards. When we entered room, the prior occupants were still there. The front desk said they had requested late checkout, so we couldn't check in.
We were in Rochester for a large family gathering and we were all staying at LaQuinta ss well. Turns out my brother & his wife were staying for the weekend in 206! So when front desk programmed our keys, it deactivated their keys.
When we came back a few hours later, front desk attendant (who was brand new on the job!) checked us into 325. However, there was only one bed and I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds. So we were finally able to get a room with 2 queen beds in 402.
It all turned out well, but it was a rather frustrating process to get checked in properly. The staff was very friendly, helpful and couteous.
