Great Place to stay near Mayo Clinic
We always stay at the Kahler Grand Hotel when attending appointments at Mayo Clinic. The hotel is very accommodating, clean, comfortable and centrally located. We love the safe environment and ease of walking to restaurants and access to the clinic.

Location to the Gonda building is unbeatable. Way over priced for the room.we had the Deluxe King and there was nothing deluxe about it. Plus they charged $25 plus tax for parking when if you don’t tell them you need parking and just use it as public parking, it’s free. TV had like 80 channels and literally only 6 or 7 of the local stations worked. All the rest would cut out after a second.

All the employees were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean. The reason for the 3 on the property was due to the water in the shower. Went hot to cold through out each shower without changing faucet. The thermostat did work well and froze so I had to sleep fully dress. I figured due to age of the building

Hotel needs updating. Bed was hard, bathtub had a lot of finish missing. Bathroom door is glass so if you use in the middle of the night, whole room is lit up. Location is perfect for going to Mayo

Sub-par this time, usually good.
Rm 1058 was sub-par for this hotel. Bed and pillows were not comfortable. Bathroom was extremely small with no place to put anything down, even a toothbrush. Shower head was low. Water temperature in shower was uneven. Gap under door to adjoining room had a huge gap at the bottom and they were noisy. Light also streamed in under the door to hallway. We'll return to this hotel due to its proximity to Mayo Clinic Gonda Building, because we've had good experiences in the past. We'll just be sure to book straight with the hotel and specify our room preferences.

I like staying here because you never have to go outside. You can take the elevator to the subway to the labs or your doctor's office. It's very convenient, especially in the winter.

My stay was terrible. First the heater in the room didn’t work. The room was freezing cold. Although they changed the room for me but the new room’s bathtub was dirty and yellow water was running from the hot water faucet. And there was something in the bed sheets that was biting. By then I was too tired to call the reception again. End result was that I could not sleep most of the night and couldn’t take a shower in the morning. I will never stay in this hotel again.
