Overnight stay prior to Mayo Clinic appointments

I was expecting a little more historical class as I have seen the interior of the hotel years ago. First time I wanted to stay there. After a long drive and long wait lines to check in, come to find out there was no hot water, and pipes were rusted both the sink and shower. I was told could not relocate to a different room after the maintenance guy confirms the problem. A few hours later, I was assigned to a different room but not without giving up my current room key. Luckly, my wife was in the room to get the door. A bell hop person helped me move. Same floor but on the far other end of the wing. The rooms are small and very difficult to get a wheelchair inside. I cannot say it's all bad, but I was not impressed. The main lobby was remodeled which looks cold. It took away the antique of the warm class as some of the other hallways were left preserved. Next time I am staying at the Merriott Hotel - more expensive but way more comfort for the money - that I have experienced

We stay at Kahler Grand because of it’s location to Mayo and use the elevator to Subway to access Mayo Clinic. Very surprised to find out there’s no security measure…anyone can use the elevator to access the hotel!!!

Old hotel that desperately needs remodeling. Handicapped rooms are not very good. The shower stall is small. The room is a good size. Rome service was good but slow. Too expensive for the what you get.

We had a couple of issues with the bathroom, the auto light devise kept going out or coming on throughout the night, the sink stopper was plugged, the shower difficult o turn on. We finally called and they sent up a repair person,and fixed it all. Should have called the first day!

Checking in was easy and convenient. Valet parking was excellent and made things so easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Zam Zam checked us in and was very very pleasant and professional. She answered all of our questions and assisted us with our needs. Rooms were very nice and clean. Hotel was very convenient to Mayo Clinic. We will definitely use this hotel on future trips.

We have been staying at your hotel for years and was disappointed this visit. Our room was stuffy, too hot. Could not the the thermometer to work. Turned on the shower, water came out brown!!! Ice machine on our floor was broken and front desk would not deliver a bucket of ice to us. We needed ice for a medical purpose. They suggested I try other floor but I could really leave the room for to find a working machine. All the shelf’s in the bathroom were bad - stuff kept falling off. The toilet flush was very loud. Parking was a joke with street closures. - garage was dark and spots were limited and very tight. Then charged your guests $26!, per night. Have recommended your hotel to many friends but would not anymore. Sad experience!!!
