The staff is very friendly. Those that you do encounter. The restaurant inside the casino are good 8oz burger bar was my favorite. The others are very pricey. The only negative is the rooms need work. In our room the wall paper was peeling and it's very dark. Lighting would be a plus. It's hard to put makeup on in very deem lighting. :) Other then that I would recommend.

#1 - Bathroom: A. The fan did not work B. The "ven" was dirty/dusty C. The way that the blow-drier was installed was totally unprofessional and looked tacky D. One of the baseboard tiles was not attached to the wall #2 - The TV, which appeared to be a smaller replacement, given the mount on the wall, was totally usedless, as the remote didn't work when I tried to use the "guide" button...They sent a replacement, which didn't work either, and then the man stated that the remotes didn't work properly with all the tvs...So I had to way to use any of the "guide" features, such as what channel was what... 3. The lamps did not match, and one was missing the finial to hold the lampshade on the lamp itself... 4. The cabinetry was not properly adjusted/misaligned and when you opened the door to access the refrigerator it tended to open the refrigerator door... 5. The light in the "closet" did not work... 6. The way the blow-drier was installed in the bathroom was totally unprofessional I will probably not stay at the Horseshoe again, but at the Gold Strike instead...

All lamps in the room did not work or barely worked, the ones that did flickered. Lighting in the bathroom was insufficient. The bathroom counter had a tv mounted to it that did not even work. The remote control for the tv's in the room did not work, we requested a new remote and it did not work either. the sectional couch in the room had numerous visible stains on it. The pillows on the king size bed were terrible, 4 small square pillows. We stayed during the week, so the price was much lower than weekend rates. Either way, definitely not worth the money. Upon check in, another guest had come to the front desk complaining about lamps not working or completely missing from the room. The guest stated that she had stayed at the hotel frequently. Staff was very rude to the quest.

Besides several issues with the low-rate quality of the property, I'd rather state the lack of communication between the property and Expedia. We were booked for two days, but after one day we were not satisfied with the property and decided we'd rather go home if we could get a refund. We called down to the front desk they asked our room number so apparently they looked at our profile on the screen and said yes that'll be no problem just come down and check out by 11:00 a.m. . Then when we get down there they say "oh, well you booked through Expedia so you'll have to talk to them about it" Then they checked us out and we were only charged one day of resort fees and then I contacted Expedia. Expedia couldn't tell me what they were going to do.1:00 on the next day they finally got back to us and said "no". So now, even though we ended up staying there most of the day in the casino, we couldn't stay the night again even though we paid for it. But they never told us until a day later that we were not going to get refunded. So I would not use Expedia, because they communicate with you from some call center out of the country and they don't know what they're doing and to me it's unethical. So hopefully this will stay up, I'm sure Expedia would rather take it down so let's see

The room was atrocious! Everything was broken or dirty. Cabinet drawers, towel holder lock for door. Carpet was dirty, bathroom floor, air unit. Doesn’t seem like anything really ever got “cleaned”

Horseshoe Experience

The parking garage smelled of urine. Desk clerk at check in was friendly and efficient. Security and other staff were friendly and greeted me with smiles. Carpet in hallways were dirty. Housekeeping brought me a broken coffee pot and I had to request another. Disappointing free WiFi only includes two devices. There’s a ridiculous charge for additional devices. Hotel renovations are a pleasant change. Hope rates don’t increase as a result.

Wonderful stay, great customer service. The only thing that i didnt like was there was only 1 face towel and 1 bath towel for each of us for a two night stay. No other complaints and I will definitely stay again.

The heat on our first night did not work at all. It was so cold in the room all night. There was trash still in the under the bed from previous people that where there before us. The shower was not great it would go cold on you for no reason or you would get burnt from the hot water there was no in between. The staff in the casino was rude. This was our first and last time staying there.

Very Disappointed

This was a bad experience, because when we arrived to check in the internet was down and we had to wait two hours to check in, and they eventually they manully check me in a smoker room, and the internet was down all night. I have stayed at this hotel before and It was great.
