Attended an on-site concert. Stayed here for the convenience. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Service was slow, but it was also a busy weekend with an event.

We were expecting something a bit more "grandiose" for this type of casino/resort. It was "meh". The view out our window was of a wall. The bed squeaked and was incredibly hard. A security guard woke us up at 1am hollering "security!" in the hallway and knocking on a door. Turns out, it was the adjoining room, so we had to listen to the entire conversation. Also, the reservation never mentioned a $50 deposit (refundable when you check out) and a resort fee. Seems that should have been discussed. Also, if you want to gamble, TAKE CASH from your own bank. ATM's at this location will charge you $6.50 to use and the smallest denomination is $100.

The stay was horrible The rose was not clean. It was so dark and dim in the room. Everything looked old needs to be updated after checkout. I was charged an additional $77.90 by the front desk. There is excuse was since I booked through hotel.com and hotel.com is a third-party it came through with expedia.com. This was horrible. I will never go back to go stripe again.

Coach roaches!
First of all it was our first time staying at the gold strike casino we usually always did horseshoe casino. Our first room on floor 30 we walked into our room and first thing we seen was a cockroach in the bathroom as well as dirty dirty toilets! Blew my mind! Then we got transferred to another room which was that much better but we didn’t see another coach roach on that floor on 12. I just feel like they should of offered us a free stay due to this nasty situation but no we had to move to another floor! Still being scared we would bring any kind of creature's back home with us (let’s pray). Gave us a free buffet due to our troubles psh that’s just not sitting well with me still.

Run Down and Dirty
I am sure this place was great 30 years ago, but it is desperately in need of an update. It is run down and dirty. Our room looked like it had not had a good cleaning in a LONG time. I would not stay here again. The only redeeming quality was the great breakfast sandwich at Rise restaurant.

I talked l really enjoyed my stay and three staff was very friendly and helpful. Our car lights were left on and the car attendant manager made sure we were able to get in our car, had a car service tech come out and start it at no charge.
