Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
The hotel shows its age—rooms feel outdated (15 years old) with worn furnishings and minimal updates. While functional, they lack modern amenities or design touches. The pool area is a highlight, well-maintained and inviting, but it contrasts sharply with the tired interiors.
Staff & Service
The staff is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and clearly hardworking. However, we noticed the same employees covering day and night shifts, suggesting severe understaffing. Their dedication shines, but burnout seems inevitable given the workload.
Dining Experience
The breakfast buffet is decent but repetitive, with little variation day-to-day. Other meal options fall short: bland flavors, limited creativity, and inconsistent quality. A refresh of the menu and kitchen standards is overdue.
Beach & Location
The beach is stellar—powdery sand, crystal-clear water, and easy access to West End via water taxi (a scenic, affordable option). Nearby restaurants offer better dining variety, making the beach the property’s strongest asset.
Verdict
Stay for the beach and service, but temper expectations for rooms and food. With renovations and expanded staffing, this could be a gem. For now, it’s a 3/5—the Expedia rating seems a bit generous, not luxury.
