Great hotel close to copacabana
We have stayed here before - the staff are friendly and if you ask, they will go above and beyond. The breakfast was good and a short walk to the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. Some rooms have been renovated recently. We would stay again.

This hotel has become my favorite hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The staff are highly trained and extremely helpful. You must get the sauna in your room.

Very nice hotel overall. Definitely worth getting the sauna included in your room. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The daily breakfast that’s included was fantastic. You will see the owner himself helping out in the mornings during this time. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now. Ipanema has the best restaurants, but that’s only a short Uber drive away. This hotel has a fantastic Peruvian Restaurant just a couple of blocks away and a very good all-you-can eat Brazilian style restaurant as well as many little places to eat that are perfect for lunch and sitting outside. Definitely go to the local soccer club store, Flamengo, also a couple of blocks away. Get a jersey with your name and number on it of your choice. The fun never stops here in and around the Royal Rio Palace Hotel in Copacabana.

Average hotel, not worthy of 4 stars. The plus's - it is in a great location, very central to all the attractions, and the bedding, towels were changed everyday. Downsides - although breakfast was included, it was chaotic each morning, as the breakfast area was not large enough to cater for the amount of guests. They charge for the little bottles of water in fridge - these are not complimentary as in most hotels R$ 8.00 which is expensive for water. Also we were also charged R$ 20 to stow our luggage on last day, most hotels that you have stayed with will stow your luggage for free.

I recently stayed at the Royal Rio Palace Hotel, and my experience was far from pleasant. The management was rude and unwilling to support customer needs. Despite my concerns, they repeatedly claimed the rooms were being booked up and showed no care for the issues I raised. The room was outdated, poorly maintained, and lacked cleanliness. The hotel’s facilities were also in poor condition, with dirty and moldy walls posing a health concern. The furniture was in bad shape, the bed had springs sticking out, and I even found a stain on the sheets. Additionally, the hotel has a strict non-refundable policy. I recommend booking a refundable room if you decide to stay here, as getting your money back will be challenging.

Great stay!
The staff is extremely friendly . We had 4 rooms and they were clean and bathrooms amazing! The rooms are a little dated and need some repairs and updates but that does not mean it is not clean! Check-in was great quick and easy, the resturant had great food and breakfast was AMAZING!!! With a large variety to pick from, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, pao de ceijo, flan, breads cereals and fruits and so on and so on, we made sure we made it to breakfast everyday.. thank you for a wonderful experience in your hotel, with a team that was warm friendly and inviting what more could we have asked for!

The pictures shown on Expedia site have clearly been taken ages ago. The property is in serious disarray and the area feels very dangerous. We decided not to even check in after seeing the lobby/coffee area. We’re trying to get a full refund as we feel betrayed by false advertisement.

We were first in a very unattractive dark room on 1st floor. I went online and referenced the photos and it didnt look like the same hotel. However our other partys room was fabulous on second floor. They changed us with no problem to a beautiful room. Breakfast was a huge variety . Moments walk to the beach
