I’ve stayed at the arena Copacabana before. Both very good hotels. I was surprised they don’t have a basic sewing kit. Every hotel in America has one because during travel sometimes buttons fall off, but the staff were otherwise great

This hotel was amazing!!! The staff was super friendly, helpful and accommodating making our stay more memorable. The property is very well keep, clean and very confortable. The restaurant and bar were unbelievable delicious my favorites were ALL the Paellas and the drink named Costa del Sol. We will definitely recommend this hotel and come back for sure.

This is my 5th stay at the Arena Ipanema - it is a good hotel in a good area, walkable to Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and only meters from Arpoador. The staff are usually very helpful and nice. The rooms are not the largest but fine for a short stay. I travelled with my teenage son this time and he enjoyed the pool and roof top area to relax. The hotel restaurant is good and some good restaurants are with walkable distance.

This is NOT a 4-star property, even if 3. If it wasn't for the superb location of Ipanema Beach (Posto 7), and only needing a room for 2 nights, I would have checked out and gone elsewhere. Overall, everything about this hotel is tired: the breakfast area is too small for the size of this hotel, which makes the entire ambience feel basement like; the roof top area looks really sad, dated and unkempt (so uninviting,I didn't even utilise the free welcome drinks voucher I was given). My room had a faulty bathroom (taps not working, shower leaking), which got fixed once reported - however, it wasnt done in a way made to last nor did it leave the bathroom very inviting. In this instance,I think i should have just been offered another room but it was very apparent that no one even cared to check how/ to what standard it got fixed. The entire property appears to be done on the cheap and with minimal effort of care. The only saving grace about this hotel is the location.

Everything was great at this location. A very comfortable stay. The only issue was the housekeeping entering the room quite early in the morning unannounced. Overall I am very pleased with the hotel.

A great hotel, on Ipanema Beach.
The Arena Ipanema is a great hotel, located three doors down from Ipanema Beach. The rooms are clean and bright, and the maid service is careful and thorough. The front-desk staff has speaks multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and of course Portuguese. The morning breakfast is plentiful, with lots of variety.
