Nice little hotel. Good value for the neighborhood. Very friendly hotel and valet staff. The onsite restaurant has lovely breakfast options. Many restaurant choices within walking distance for dinner that match every taste and every budget.

The Berkeley Hotel is everyone in my family's favorite place to stay in Richmond. Not only is it a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms, but it also has an amazing restaurant that never disappoints and a staff that truly cares about your stay. We've stayed here numerous times over the past 5 years and that's always been consistent.

The building is a little old, but it's charming. Location is amazing. Found a lot of great restaurants in the area that are within walking distance. However, me and my best friend had to cut our stay short. Came back after a night out and our room had been entered while we were gone. The shift manager was kind and allowed us a refund for the night.

Nice property, made to look historic but quite modern. Walkable to restaurants and capital building. Seemed to be only one person as valet/bellman. Plan ahead to get your car-took 40 minutes.

Perfect location for out get-away. Across the street from The Tobacco Company Restaurant which was perfect for our group. The hotel is a little tired BUT the front desk staff was so sweet and we had a very enjoyable stay.

The staff who greeted us and our dogs were amazingly friendly. The rooms were super quiet and dark shades to help sleep in morning. Pillows great. Shower hot but could use more pressure. Bed slightly firm. The area had great restaurants and bars in walking distance. Right off 95 so easy to get back on out way in morning. Coffee in lobby was excellent and hot. We will be back. Eric the bell stand attendant was extremely helpful.

Loved the decor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t get a chance to eat at their restaurant, which I regret. There were 3 cars of people out by their cars on Saturday night/early Sunday morning that were loud and keeping me awake but since there are no phones in the room and I had lost my cell phone that day, I had no way to contact the desk.

This hotel has been under renovation for about 3 years. The black curtains make it look awful. Front desk was unoccupied for a while when we wanted to check out and check our bill. Kitchen staff was not helpful when we needed ice. Room staff was friendly and nice.

Hotel was charming and clean. The room was spacious and nicely decorated.. Staff was friendly with good service. Our only complaint was that our room reeked of cigarette smoke. It was awful. We asked for a different room, but they were supposedly fully booked.it really ruined the stay. Room 414.

Won’t use this hotel again.
This hotel is pretty dated. The air conditioning wasn’t working in either room we tried. Even the lobby was extremely warm. No microwave or refrigerator. Coffee bar in lobby was stale and not warm. Staff were very helpful and apologetic, and did their best, but it was the worst hotel experience we ever had.
