The staff were perfectly friendly but we were woken up at 5:30 am by the fire alarm, evacuated, then quickly shuffled back inside with little more than a brief apology and no explanation for what happened. Doors slamming at 8am woke us up after a fitful nights sleep.

This was one of the worst experiences ive ever had in a hotel. Where do I begin with, the first room they put us in was all smelling like Marijuana, the floors were dirty, found pubic hair on the floor, and the shower was dirty. They moved us to another room which was also dirty and disgusting. The shower floor is all rusty and the bathroom needs to be renovated. The room service is trash, they come in the morning do gove you towels and if you ask them to clean they say no. Like what the hell!. Would never ever go back there again. Please try to avoid and dont trust the pictures. Its a scam!

Very comfortable and clean room. John at desk very helpful, and thorough. He recommended a local Thai restaurant that is excellent. Minor irritant: The parking garage beneath the hotel is open, anyone from street can walk right in. However, that's mitigated by the presence of many security cameras. Nice location. Nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

John, who checked us in at the front desk, was super helpful and friendly. Room was clean, quiet and roomy. The hotel was walkable to many restaurants and less than 15 minutes walk to the Altria Theater. We will stay there again on future trips to RVA!

I liked the self-park facility, though $20 seemed to be a bit high for a parking garage without any attendants to be seen. The breakfast was fairly good, though the attendant there seemed to be struggling with a testy juice machine and didn't hide her frustration. Clean and plentiful seating. Our room on the top floor was very spacious, and the blackout curtains were extremely effective. We had a good night's sleep. There's a bit of wear and tear on the furniture and shower, repairs had been made to the wall and ceiling, but overall we had all we needed - frig, microwave, coffee maker, safe, iron/ironing board. This was walking distance to Richmond Music Hall and a number of downtown office buildings. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. I would return.
