The staff was very nice and very friendly. The Lobby was clean and looked good. The room was a very nice size and very clean and in good condition. We were issued keys on check in that did not work on our room. We had to return to the check in desk 4 times and were moved to 3 different rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor before we finally received keys that worked.The desk clerk was very apologetic and very nice. I do not know what the issue was. The person who checked in ahead of us had no problem and the people checking in behind us had no problem. The whole building is supposed to be non smoking- On the second and third floor the hallways were dirty and reeked of both cigarettes and marijuana. The smell was very strong and never dissipated- so it was obvious that guests were smoking regularly. The entire night doors slammed, music blasted, people were drinking, yelling and hanging out in the hallway. The next morning someone was passed out in the hallway and was still there when we checked out. We did not sleep the entire night. I will not stay here again.

Our room had the smoke detectors removed from a previous guest and it smelled so much of cigarette and marijuana that our two smaller children started to react to the air quality. The front desk clerk was amazing and switched us rooms immediately but our next room did not have a functioning air conditioner. The clerk was so kind that she gave us fans from their office to help.

the elevators haven't been inspected in years, according to the inspections posted inside. somebody tracked mud and water through the elevator and it wasn't cleaned up by hotel staff but by another guest. the hotel smells gross inside like mildew. it also smells like cigarettes and marijuana smoke. the bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned very well. there was hair on the floor. there are gross stains on the furniture, the bedding, and the towels. only one bath towel provided for two people. when we asked for more bath towels, we were told they would have to check if they had any. guests staying on the same floor were fighting and screaming at each other and slamming their doors literally all night long 2 nights in a row and it was never addressed. the buffet breakfast was okay. only eggs and bacon and some packaged pastries. the juice machine was broken so only hot coffee or milk to drink. wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anybody.

We checked in on Christmas night after starting our day at 5am and driving to do family visits for the holiday. Once arrived we were exhausted and had 2 small dogs, one which is handicapped, to care for. We booked this hotel for pet fee cost, room cost and location. Pro's- the room was big and roomy. Plenty of room for dog crates. The front desk person who checked me in accommodated me with a first floor room so it was easy to take my pup outside. On a cleanliness scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 6. The bed and sheets were clean, the mirrors and counter tops were clean and the mini fridge was big. Cons - First the water in the shower ran constantly. I tried fiddling with the tub and the faucet and it didn't change anything. We were so tired we didn't bother trying to change rooms. The bed was clean and that's what mattered most. I'm more forgiving, my husband is incredibly picky. The pull out couch in the room had white stains on it, looked like it could be easily cleaned off but they were "unidentified". The couch fabric definitely looked worn and a bit shredded. The small details like the baseboards and air vents were filthy with chunks of dirt and dust. The shower curtain looked like someone wiped their makeup off on it. Then, what made me not even want to shower... Besides the water stains in the bathtub from constant water running was the water NEVER got beyond luke warm. My husband was shivering after his shower.

Our room was great, the bed comfortable and the room was spacious which we loved. The biggest issues though were the fact that it says it’s a non-smoking hotel and the whole place smelled like smoke and there were even broken cigarettes in the elevator. Which also made a horrible sound between the 3 and 4th floor and was very disconcerting. Our main reason for booking this hotel was the biggest letdown. We have a teenager who is in a residential treatment facility and got a Christmas pass. He wanted somewhere with a pool so he could swim, something he hasn’t been able to do in almost a year. Now, I understand it’s off season but the pool is indoors. We’ve been to plenty of other hotels in the winter and the indoor pools are up and running. We went into the pool room and both the room and pool was ice cold, the water level was low and murky with a film on top. The clincher is that when we checked with staff- they said it was open and operational. That’s the part that is upsetting. Don’t tell guests it’s operating properly when it’s not. Again though, I totally understand it being the off season so I’m not going to be a Karen and demand a refund or anything. It was just disappointing for my son who had been looking forward to a Christmas swim.

There were small cockroaches in the room, One of the mattresses was really uncomfortable, the entire left side was angled downwards. The air conditioner was noisy, it was not possible to close the window curtain all the way. Breakfast very poor, even the cold drink machine did not work.

My day was fine but this evening December 8, 2024 at approximately around 8 or 9 PM the person that was working the front desk was very unprofessional very disrespectful. I had an issue with her dealing with two beverages I brought, but as I hand her my money, I expect the same courtesy when someone gives me my money back when I give it to you on your hand, you give it back to me in mine not put my money on the counter. That’s very disrespectful and unprofessional so I asked for the manager. The young lady told me but first we got to dispute where I asked her to give me my money back and give it to me in my hand and then I asked for the manager. She told me she don’t give the managers personal number to the guest that’s OK but then I asked her for the corporate number and she sat back in the chair and made like I wasn’t even in front of her. I stood there for a few more minutes or a few more seconds to say and I asked her again ma’am may I have the corporate number because I’m not gonna tolerate this from no one, especially being rude and unprofessional so the manager came downstairs, she told the manager her side story and I told the manager my side of the story, but she gonna be on the phone telling the manager she want meput off the premises because of her respectfulness and her unprofessionalism. I’m the one that’s wrong. She has a job to do and she’s supposed to cage to the guest. I’m not saying go out of your way, but how she handled the situation was very unprofessiona

Hotel Needs Improvements
Registration staff was excellent . The hotel had several dirty areas . Our hallway had trash on the floor and was not cleaned up from Friday to Sunday . The door to the elevator room was propped open with a bucket our entire stay . The sofa in our room was also worn and very dirty. The breakfast bar was good but very crowded and they couldn’t keep up with having food available. The hotel is in a good location to Innsbrook and Short Pump .
