Great hotel, but be mindful of noise at night

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The central location is perfect for exploring, the rooms are cozy, very clean, and spacious, and the overall atmosphere feels luxurious. The bed was super comfortable, and the breakfast was great with a nice variety of options. A big plus was the helpful reception staff, who even assisted us with restaurant bookings. However, the biggest downside was the noise at night. On Thursday, we heard music from outside until midnight, and on Friday, it went on until at least 3 AM. When we raised this with reception, we were told it was expected due to the central location—but as someone who lives in central London, I don’t typically hear music this late. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for its comfort, service, and location, but be mindful of potential noise, depending on which side your room is on. If you're a light sleeper, it might be worth requesting a quieter room in advance.

Nice one night stay in the touristy area!

Wonderful one night stay! We spent one night and wanted a place near the pedestrian area and shopping. This hotel was it! Right on the shopping road, lovely, classy, ample street parking and parking structures around, the staff even taught me about the different parking zones and had a handout on fees and how to save $. Continental breakfast in the morning (lots of breads, yogurt, cereal) in the cute cafe. Overall a really nice stay and I would stay againf!

We enjoyed our stay at Sand in Reykjavik. I know hotel rooms in Europe are a lot different than they are in the states, but the room was a little tight for two people. The breakfast offering was good. The breads were fresh every day. The hotel was quiet and we felt safe and secure.

This hotel is perfectly nestled in the middle of downtown Reykjavík. Easily walkable to the city and the bus stops, restaurants, bars, shopping, and Hallgrimskirka. The staff were attentive and helpful with all of our questions. The room was very clean and comfortable. The second bad was all made up for our daughter when we arrived. The included breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

The ONLY place to stay in Iceland!

This was the most AMAZING hotel. Great room, perfect location and the MOST COMFORTABLE BED!!! My ONLY complaint is I only got to stay there one night. Would be worth going back to Iceland just to stay in the hotel again
