Very solid hotel, lots of decorations (in a good way, not messy nor daunting). Good quality towels, bed, bath, shower products…. Is much nicer on the inside (in the bedroom) than on the outside (looks old and not much design). Very quiet but still 5 min walk away from the Main Street. Would totally recommend.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The at work and beautiful interiors of the hotel are amazing. Rooms were comfortable and clean, perfect after a long day sightseeing. Great location, just a few minutes walk to the Main Street in the city. Staff were great and made the stay, thanks to Gabriella and Adonis on reception and Josephine at the bar. All were so welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Hotel Holt is a charming, cozy unique hotel in a great location. The art is spectacular. My room was small but clean and well appointed. Very comfortable bed and nice bedding. Breakfast buffet was great. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel charged us early check in fee without informing us that it would be an extra cost. Upon checking in, they simply asked us if we would like to wait for the room to be ready (one of our two rooms was available by 9am), and then we went there, when they informed us around noon that the second room was also ready for us. They charged our card an additional $180 after we had left without telling us anything or informing us that it would require an extra charge. I am very disappointed as this was our first day in Iceland, and we had no idea what was going on. It felt like they took advantage of us. Had we been told the early check in would be an additional $180 , we would not have done that, as we spent the day outside the hotel anyway once the rooms were ready.

location was perfect, easy free parking, very friendly front desk, eager to get us oriented, beautiful art collection in every room and hall. great "feel" and safe and comfortable. good breakfast and great sitting room/reading room. I would stay there again on my return. not sterile or "chain" feeling, but the most personality of any place we found in Iceland.

A very warm cozy feeling from the many small rooms in the reception area and especially the bar area. Art work on the walls adds to the upscale impression. Rooms are small.

The staff was great and the location is excellent! Parking was tricky due to a movie being filmed while we were there, but otherwise there are 2 lots to park in directly next and across from the hotel entrance. Walking distance to everything and in the cat district which was fun. Only downside was the bed which wasn’t the most comfortable.
