The check in and check out were frustrating due to the employees almost insisting that we use the kiosk. I’m opposed to using nonhuman ways of interacting. I will ALWAYS use the human option. I noticed at least 15 kiosks that were not being used by people. The first try with the kiosk was frustrating and I think everyone was experiencing the same thing. There was only one agent on duty with 12 people waiting in line. Not the way to start a vacation.

Well, as a hotel it's not that different from other American downtown hotels, just huge, with over 1600 rooms. Good sized room, clean and comfortable, with a fantastic view of the mountains. We arrived early by train and were happy to pay an early check-in charge. Overall the hotel's overly complex pricing methods don't work out any more expensive and seem to be the norm in Downton Reno when there is a casino attached. There are some useful eating options in the casino complex. We enjoyed our stay . There is a beautiful river walk through the centre going out towards Truckee. And of course, the casino.

This hotel was just average. Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The casino's AC must've been broken because it was crazy warm! The ladies room was a mess: no stall door, no locks, no hooks to hang your purse, papers still on the toilet - yeesh!

I personally don’t care for the areas around the Hotel, but once inside “The Row” I feel safe. Parking is a breeze and in door dining is convenient, no need to leave the Hotel. The affordable restaurants don’t really offer healthy options- no shortage for Pizza, Hamburgers and fried food. Rooms are nice, mattresses are showing age- most have body impressions. Pillows are overstuffed and tough on the neck.

This was our first time staying here. In light of that I have to say that the parking garage is a bit confusing: 1. Because of the one way street leading to the garage, finding it is a bit hard since there's no clear signage showing how to enter it off Virginia. 2. Coming up the ramp the very small signs for the VIP parking were hard to read - I had to go back and move my car. I KNOW there is large blue "VIP parking" painted on the beams, but it's SO dark in that area - and lots of activity - that I initially didn't see it until we were walking to the registration area. The key takeaways here are to have better lighting in the garage as a whole, better signage for exiting from the different levels (maybe paint two way arrows on the pavement?), and, on the website, actually SHOW a map on how to access the garage!

Nicer than i was anticipating for a cheap casino stay. it would have been double the cost to stay at GSR for example without the need. the hotel was pretty nice, the casino had a decent sports book. it was a good time and we will likely be back.
