We just had a overnight trip. Luckily, we stayed the weekend of the Blues and Brews Festival. It was SO much fun. Lots of music, food, beverages and cool items sold by vendors. The hotels did a great job of putting it together.

Front desk reception wasn’t friendly at all. Room had old outdated furniture. They let us know we could have cleaning every other day and so we elected to have it on our second day. They never came and we didn’t come back to our room until after 2PM. It is listed as a 4 star hotel, no way.

Stayed overnight to catch an early flight out of Reno. Check in was easy. Stayed across the street from main casino in the sky tower. No activity in that location. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. Bed was comfy. I was able to self park my car free for 7 days until my return ( at my own rusk!). Shuttle to and from the airport starts at 4:00 am. Very convenient for me. Property is old and needs some updating. Lots to do in the casino including a family friendly arcade. Not much activity this Thursday afternoon.

Not the best stay in Reno.

Escalators were broken near registration. Had to change rooms to the North Tower because though the other Tower was accessible, you had to go down to the walkway then up to get to the tower elevator s. There use to be a tram to take you to and from the casino area….that was not working. Had to go the Silver Legacy to get the players reward card. The kiosks that can print out card were broken. Four of the six elevators were functioning. It may have been just the wrong weekend to be there but it looks like there has not been an update to Circus Circus in decades.

Overall, great resort and casino however, if you are on an adult holidays, only I would not stay at Circus Circus. It is very family oriented, even in the casino part you have kids playing ball hockey where you’re trying to walk to slot machines. they should have their designated area where the games are and that is it.
