Great escape

Even though we only had one night, our stay was wonderful. Room was basic, but had an excellent view onto boardwalk and ocean. Bathroom could use a refresh but room was clean and staff were friendly. Would definitely return.

I reserved a partial view (ocean) and we actually got a room facing the ocean,full view with a balcony. Not our 1st stay at the Sands,we love the location on the boardwalk and its walking distance to restaurants and shops and beach!

Great location - dated. The hotel was EMPTY before Memorial Day and asked for a noon check-out and told no by Roland. The guy who checked us in said they were not busy and disappointed to not be accommodated.

Construction of the lifeguard house was noisy and there was also some construction going on around the pool deck. Checked out the pool at five in the morning and got locked in by accident and had to climb a fence with my daughter

Besides the water pressure is low, everything is good. The wallpaper was kind of old with yellow stain but that wasn't a problem for us since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. This hotel is on the boardwalk and is very closed to restaurants/bars in the area. Parking is right at the hotel so we didn't need to park on the street. Will book again.

The property itself was pretty good. I believe we were in the updated part of the hotel. There are a lot of weird smells in this building. Room was nice. Comfortable. There is construction outside that blocks the partial ocean view from our 2nd floor balcony. Had we known, we wouldn’t have paid more for the view. Bathroom was pretty basic. The pool was ice cold and the cushions on the patio furniture looked dingy and stained. That was disappointing as well. On a positive note, the food and drinks were excellent and the ocean view from the bar was superb!

This was my husband and I’s first time staying overnight at the DE beaches and we loved it! The room is a tad outdated and I didn’t particularly want to sit on the sofa in our room, but it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. From our room to the beach was about a 1 minute walk! The staff were super friendly. We loved the convenience of having a cafe on property for coffee in the morning, however I would keep expectations low and just grab a coffee if I were you. Loved sitting on the comfy pool loungers in the evening and enjoying the ocean/people watching on the board walk. There is nothing particular fancy about this place, but I enjoyed it and would return! The ability to park in the lot before check-in was extremely conviennent. Thanks, Atlantic Sands!
