This hotel is basically a good value, and we've stayed here several times, visiting family nearby, while other hotels in the area have increased their prices above our means. We usually get the basic room with two beds (double or queen) and are grateful to still have a decent hotel in this area, within our budget. However, the bed is too high for me. I am a senior with knee issues and I can't "jump up onto the bed" like someone younger can. I actually had to bring a step-stool from home this time, as I remembered this problem from our last visit. Even my husband, who doesn't have mobility issues, has trouble getting up on the bed. Well then, perhaps we should get an accessible room? Are the beds lower? I don't know, as we haven't tried that yet. And that is because the price is approx $30/night MORE than a basic room. I don't understand why people with mobility issues should be charged more for a comfortable room than those without issues. I just wish I could be a little more comfortable on my visits.

Heads up to pet owners: While this is a pet friendly hotel, the fee is $150 per stay whether it’s a week or a single night. The area surrounding the hotel offers plenty of grassy lawns to run around in, and most people pick up after their pets. The Applebees next door was a perfect spot for family meals, with a very friendly and diverse staff.
