Pros- great hot breakfast, amazing water park, conveniently located very close to several fast food restaurants and a couple gas stations. Rooms are very spacious. Hotel restaurant is very reasonable for a food place attached to a water park hotel. Cons- parking can be difficult to find at night and we stayed during week days. Also the carpet must be very thin because it sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Every time they moved we could hear it like they were stomping. Very hard to sleep. Thankfully we only had to deal with those people one night.

Staff was not very friendly. We had trouble multiple times with our room key and water park bracelets working. We asked to have our room cleaned 1 time in a 4 night stay and a note was left that it couldn't be cleaned. We had to go to the lobby to get toilet paper. The water park is nice and connected to the hotel. Seating is limited with other hotels allowed to use the water park also. There was washers and dryers available for use, which became very handy. You do have to use a credit card to pay for them.

Gotta Stay Here

We were visiting our military family who have just moved to the area and wanted a fun place to go after a busy and emotional move. This fit every wish we had! the hotel staff was very helpful and informative- especially Montana at the front desk. The room was clean and very comfy. We had everything we needed. The waterpark attached was easy to get to and the winter hours still in effect, worked well for our schedule. As stated in other reviews, we were impressed with the breakfast. Although it was the usual waffles, eggs, biscuits etc... the 2 staff people who were serving went above and beyond in help and friendliness. We have frequently stayed at other La Quinta hotels, but this one was a notch above

The waterpark was perfect for allowing the kids to roam while parents relaxed. Small enough to keep an eye on them, friendly for all ages. Great water slides. The hotel was CLEAN and welcoming. Close to the freeway. Central location approx 30 to 40 minutes from everything. We were ar Mt Rushmore one day, Custer State park the next, and Deadwood another.

I did not like that the pool closed at 9. There was only one person checking in Friday night. It took a long time to check our rooms in for several families. Our kids did not get to swim very long.

We had the room next door to the mechanical room and it was loud and noisy all night long. I barely got any sleep from my long 2600 mile trip. It was supposed to be my stop and rest point. That was the only issue I had everything else was great!
