Broken Window on the first floor

We were in the first floor, the bedroom window was unlocked and broken, we asked for assistance to close it and was told they could not because they couldn’t leave the desk due to no other help available. They did offer another room, but we were unpacked, half our party was asleep, and it was 11pm. Moving was completely out of the question. We did manage to finally figure out a way to secure it but would have appreciated help with this and not have to fix our own broken window! A portion of it is still broken.
