Was clean, good location for ice hockey games, staff friendly. Property old, needs renovations, haordrywr didnt work, carpet worn into bathroom amd stepped on protruding carpet nail (ouch!!), beds obviously old - everytime rolled over they creaked and groaned, were also hard with squishy pillows.

Mediocre overall.
I booked 3 rooms for 1 night for me, friends, and family. I called a week ahead of time to try to get the rooms close together, and they accommodated that fine. Other than that, didn't have much communication with staff, but they seemed friendly at the front desk. Beds and pillows were surprisingly comfy. However, the overall condition of the building is just old and need some basic TLC. Showerheads were yellowed. Stains on the carpet in the hallway. Paint missing from ceilings and walls. The security bar for the sliding door to the exterior had electrical tape to protect sharp ends and for a "pull tab" to help raise the bar.

Upon arrival I went to room and realized the heat was not working, they responded quickly and sent in the professional who advised to request front desk for a different room as this won't be fixed today. The front desk apologized and gave me a new room. Thank you

Nice lobby entrance area. Nice hot breakfast amenity for wife while I was in the hospital down the road the several days after our check-in . It would have been nicer if you had a 'brown bag', or some such option, for those who could not make your breakfast times of 6:30am-10;30am (on the morning of my surgery I had to be at pre-op in the local hospital by 5:15am, then surgery and post-op until 11am so my wife had no breakfast while she waited all morning in the hospital waiting room for me. (This particular area of town has very little alternate eating shops without driving several miles in congested traffic so the Hotel eating was our best hope to get something before we left for hosp., but it didn't work :(( ).

Colby, the front desk clerk, was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly and super helpful. The hotel is close to the NC State Fairgrounds, Carter Finley stadium, and the art museum. It is an older hotel with basic amenities, but it was comfortable and clean.

It was very outdated. We had to be changed to a different room because the carpet was coming up and the carpet nails were exposed. The toilet would not flush. Upon moving to another room, it was in a little better condition, but the toilet still was very slow and the water in the sink and tub did not want to drain.

Hotels was ok. We could have done without the loud leaf blower at 5:45 am till 6:45 am from the property next door. Our room closely borded the property line. Nice gentleman at the front desk was asked about it and he really didn’t have much to say. Not even an apology for the early morning inconvenience.

I stayed there because I was having surgery the next day at Rex's hospital. Got up at 3:30 am and there was no hot water. Had to take cold shower. Ask people at front desk about the tv they just said they couldn't help us with that. So we couldn't even watch tv.
