The elevator was out of service the entire time that I was in on the property the exit lighting, which we had to take the stairs was poor. The lighting should’ve been better in the stairwells. One of the refrigerators in the dining area was out of order this hotel being in a metropolis area should have been a little more better and things should be upgraded more. The room itself was fine, but I don’t think I would stay there again.

This was different...
Something must of happened before i arrived. 2nd floor smelled of weed or some other really strong odor. 3rd floor room had broken items in it and smelled. Was moved to another 3rd floor room later on and it smelled ok. Elevator didnt work, i have a back issue so that aggravated my situation having to carry everything upstairs. Bed was nice but the shower is small and the placements in it were in the way. No hand soap so you need to bring your own, they have liquid soap in the shower but if you are short you won't be able to reach out because it's over 5 feet from the ground. Parking lot was nice and walmart is across the street that was helpful.

I didn't like that the elevator was out of order but glad I wasn’t higher than the 3rd floor. My room was the only room on the 3rd floor that didn’t have a room number on it...that really bothered me. The remote control didn’t work when we first got to the room. I walked down to the front desk to get them to replace the batteries...that was the problem. The LAN phone receiver cord kept coming out when trying to call the front desk. The base boards in the bathroom were really dusty and there was mildew at the bottom of the outside of the shower curtain. I asked for a different room but was told that no other rooms were available. The employees were okay. Breakfast was okay. Location was fine. Parking was fine. Just didn’t expect to encounter issues upon arrival that really bothered me.

Rooms stink with some bad odor. Pathways carpets are dirty, one elevator out of service, because of one elevator too many people are waiting to get to their floors and the stairs are dirty, lobby computer do not work as I need to print something urgent.

Not a good experience
I checked in and the front desk told the man in front of me the elevator was out, and then told me it worked. It did work when we went up, but at 1 am the fire alarm started going off, multiple times, because the elevator was malfunctioning. It was still down the next morning. So we had a bad nights sleep. Ice machines are out of order. Breakfast looked pathetic. Milk dispenser out of order. Stained floors. Lobby smelled like cigarettes. Just yuck and ick. Fix the stuff that's broken already.

I have never stayed at a Hampton that was this awful. Spiderwebs, hair, toothpaste on the front of the cabinet , something hanging on the wall, holes in the wall, elevators not working, I could go on! We will not stay at another Hampton !!!

Very disappointed
This was my worst experience at a Hampton Inn. I am a Hilton member and love staying at Hilton properties. The room smelled like a “wet dog”, the hotel was dated with worn carpeting in the room, toiletry shelf coming off the wall, no shampoo on the wall container, paint on the walls were chipped and poor repair, ice machines out of order, one elevator not working, no coffee at the morning breakfast (asked for them to fill the unit), and water coming out of the orange juice machine. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. I was over charged for this hotel and not my Hampton Inn expectations.

The front desk staff was friendly. However the property/ rooms were old and dirty. The elevator was out of service. The ice machines were out of service. We found hairs all over our bathroom. Coffee was only warm.

This hotel is located on Ashville Ave. but it should be on Elm Street because it was a NIGHTMARE! There were out of order signs throughout the hotel (only one operating elevator, one working ice machine in the entire place, no milk dispenser at breakfast, no working computer in the business center…). The owner should be ashamed to operate this property under the Hampton Inn name - it definitely does not meet the standard. It is worn and dated with peeling, delaminated chairs, stained and tattered carpet throughout, holes in walls, furniture that looks like someone took a hammer to it, and an odd smell that hits you when you walk through the front doors. The absolute worst part of our experience was the pot-smoking sex worker who set up shop in the room across from ours on our second night. It was extremely loud with multiple guests coming and going, and the overwhelming smell of marijuana hit you as soon as you stepped off of the elevator on our floor. Multiple guests complained to the front desk but nothing was done - the person in this room was allowed to stay another night and the marijuana smell permeated that whole wing of the 3rd floor again the next morning. To summarize my review - if you have an enemy, you should highly recommend this property to them. If you have a loved one, do everything in your control to prevent them from walking through the front doors of the Hampton Inn Raleigh/Cary.
