My stay at ECOTICA Boutique Hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The location is unbeatable—tucked away in a lush rainforest oasis yet close enough to explore nearby attractions. It’s the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion and easy access to adventure. The hotel is impeccably clean, and every detail is thoughtfully maintained. From the beautifully designed rooms to the serene outdoor spaces, everything feels like it was crafted to help guests unwind and connect with nature. The wildlife is incredible! I loved waking up to the sounds of birds and even spotting monkeys right from the property! The staff, though, are what truly make this place shine. They are warm, attentive, and go out of their way to ensure you have an amazing experience. I want to give a special shoutout to Joshua, who was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout my stay. His care and professionalism made my visit even more memorable—thank you, Joshua! ECOTICA Boutique Hotel is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re seeking tranquility, adventure, or just a break from the ordinary, this is the place to go. I’m already dreaming of my next visit!

Hotel Ecotica Hotel Ecotica is a little paradise right in the middle of Manual Antonio, when in the town it’s very accessible to the beach via public transport and there are little shops nearby, the rooms are spacious and guess what you can see or hear wildlife if you are lucky to wake up at 5am!! We would like to extend our gratitude to Josh who really stepped up when my partner fell ill for the first few days, he was extremely knowledgeable regarding the area, the medical centres and above all extremely Approachable and friendly.. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Emily at the restaurant who was extremely friendly and always served us with a warm smile..

A hotel in a natural paradise
The staff were super friendly, breakfast delicious (especially the breakfast burritos) cocktails amazing in the Yolo bar and the loaded nachos too. The best thing was the way the place is built in a rain forest. The plants were amazing and I saw monkeys, a sloth with a baby, a humming bird, butterflies, ants. Really great. I hope to be back oneday.

The term "boutique" hotel here is a stretch. For example they also own the "YOLO Social Club and Casino" at the front of the property... Staff were not very responsive on both Expedia and Whatsapp, the latter being the default communication method in Costa Rica. The vast majority of the imagery online is of the bungalows which is a bit misleading in terms of the overall aesthetic, but we stayed in the cheaper Double Queen Suite which is very spacious for a couple. The breakfast also does not look like the images on their own website. The shower water pressure was poor, much like the Wi-Fi. The staff blamed weak signal on the rainy weather, but we connected easily to other Wi-Fi networks everywhere else we went in Manuel Antonio. Lots of parking space and a decent central location, good for using taxis as well. Many Capuchin monkeys and Agoutis roaming the property, which are fun to watch.

Fue nuestra primera vez en Costa Rica y tomamos muy buena decisión quedándonos aquí. Amazing boutique hotel only minutes away from the National Park. Staff is super helpful and welcoming. Our bungalow was comfy and beautiful. We saw scarlet macaws, toucans, different lizards. Very happy.

The property conditions and amenities were amazing! Everything was in great condition and extremely clean. In the trees around the property you can even see wildlife wherever you look, including capybaras, capuchin monkeys and even howler monkeys! The only thing that I think could have been better was the customer service. Most staff members we interacted with during our stay were very helpful and welcoming! However, upon check in we were greeted at reception by a woman who was a bit rude and seemed incredibly inconvenienced by us requesting to check into the property 10 minutes early to make a zoom meeting on time. Overall, we would consider staying here again during our next visit to Manuel Antonio and felt that this property had everything we needed for our stay!

We spent 5 nights at Ecotika at the end of our trip to Costa Rica (2 adults and 14 year old) and loved it. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast by the pool was lovely. It was very quiet during our stay. We enjoyed pizza by the pool and several meals and games in YOLO which is the sister restaurant and social bar next door. We were delighted to see lots of monkeys, butterflies, iguanas and a mongoose from our bungalow balcony (highly recommend the beautiful bungalows!)! It was an easy bus ride to Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos. A wonderful ending to our trip!
