The host Frank was awesome, very friendly and went out of his way to make sure the room worked for me and that we were comfortable because I had recently recovered from knee surgery. The motel is older but is clean and well kept. We stayed two nights when we first arrived on Haida Gwaii and came back for a third night before catching our ferry home. Frank was nice enough to let us do our laundry for free because we were returning customers. Definitely recommend staying here.

Clean and comfortable, although it is an older building. The owner is wonderful, very gracious and helpful. Easy walking to just about everything in DG, and the Museum in Skidegate is a doable walk.

The owners were helpful and always working to make the exterior grounds nicer and safe. It was well kept and painted. The room themselves are small and the tv service was down for the 4 days we were there. We rented a kitchenette and they could use some more cooking utensils and cutlery. Also we had to clean up the kitchen when we left. The 2 burner stove was very outdated from the 1970s. Also they had no fan in the bathroom so the room was rather humid the whole time. THe location in town was good with restaurants next door. The 3 of us were there for hunting so it was decent. My understanding is that the isolated island has challenges that other hotels may not encounter.

We had a late check in, went for dinner right away. By the time we were back the office was closed.The room had a single and a double bed. Went to go to bed and the sheets on the double bed were dirty. Showed Frank (owner) in the morning. All he offered was a free breakfast. For how disgusting it was i should have had my money back. Never go there.
