SLS Playa Mujeres is a beautiful resort with so much to offer. The service was excellent—staff were warm, attentive, and always willing to help. The food was outstanding at every restaurant I tried, with a great variety of dishes and flavors to enjoy. The adult pool was one of the best parts of my stay—huge, peaceful, and always had plenty of available sun loungers, which made relaxing so easy. Even though two of the restaurants were closed during my visit, there were still more than enough options to choose from. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the check-in experience. I arrived early and my room wasn’t ready, which I understood. Guest Services told me I’d be upgraded to a swim-up room since I’m a Gold Expedia member, but I was given a second-floor room with an obstructed ocean view due to overgrown plants. I chose not to complain because I didn’t want to let it affect my vacation. Overall, I had a great time and I would still return. With a little more consistency in handling upgrades and expectations, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Just got back from Playa Mujeres (April 2025) and honestly—what an amazing experience! Everything was top-notch: the food, the rooms, the views… all just perfect. What really made it special though was the warm and personal service, especially from Andrea, the chief concierge. She went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for the best of everything with a warm, welcoming vibe.

The small swim-out pool out back was very nice. Very clean amenities and a nice courtesy bar which we enjoyed! The restaurants were very good, but reserve the very first day you arrive, for every night. Otherwise. You may not get in. There was no shortage of food, though, either way. The waitstaff was amazing. They catered to our taste very well. This was a fun property!! Amazing.

The property opened recently (November 2024) while everything is new, clean and in excellent conditions they still have things to figure out and improve. First: “signs” there were at least 2 bars that we didn’t know about until the last night and Bathrooms go unnoticed until after someone specifically points them out or guide you there— which can be easily fixed by installing signs!. Second: “restaurant service” the service was pretty much inexistent during breakfast, lunch was average and while they offer excellent dinner options service was just not great (for example: we ordered starters at Union Steakhouse but server told us we needed to place entire order- because “the kitchen takes long getting orders out”— how about you fix the kitchen problems?). Our experience was fantastic just because of the adult pool bar staff (Twiggy). Shout out to barmans Rodrigo, Cande, Ciro, & Gustavo; pool servers Everet and Jenny; and pool concierge Sam!!! If my review was based solely on the staff mentioned then I would give a 5 stars review. They knew us by name, they went above and beyond to exceed our expectations.

My wife and I just returned from SLS Playa Mujeres and I wanted to share some of my experiences since this group was so helpful for me before my trip. We arrived about 12:30pm and our room wasn’t ready, we went and ate at Twiggy then came back and it was ready. The Food- Was very good for an all-inclusive resort. Breakfast is limited to the buffet and room service since we were not elite. There was an option to have a shake for breakfast, we did go to the coffee shop each morning, it was way better than what they served at the buffet. Lunch- Twiggy was amazing, the sushi (off menu item) and the poke bowls were our favorite. Bungalow was a major disappointment, the food orders we wrong, both times we went. Very unorganized and made the experience not a good one. If I were a parent with a family and this was the lunch option, I would be disappointed. We did not go to Cleo at all, which is another lunch/dinner option. The menu didn’t excite us. Dinner- My favorite was Union (I got the NY Strip one night and the Filet the other) The lobster bisque soup was delicious. The lobster roll was a letdown. We loved the Sushi at Lotus, we also ordered Pad Tia which was good. Fi’Lia was also very enjoyable. I got the pizza (Amazing) and the chicken parm, which as a surprise to me didn’t come with pasta but mashed potatoes. I guess I should have read the menu better.
