THE PERFECT SERANADE PUNTA CANA

First time at the Serenade Punta Cana. This is a newer hotel and you can see it was very well planned with everything they did. I liked it becaue it was smaller in size, i did not have to take tram car to get to the beach or the buffett. Check in was easy and quick, i asked for an upgrade and was given a beautiful suite with two bathrooms and one bedroom with a pull out couoch bed. The food was excellent, Breakfast lunch and dinner.I had the pleasure of meeting Joandel Cayetano, he was always there for all of us, making sure are drinks were always refilled. Just a perfect helper to all of us. Also Yandys Guerrero and Pelagia Ramirez. Both again very helpful i never had to ask for anything they were always right there. Pebel and Freddy made sure we had everything we needed and cant forget Pedito Rosa .The Captain Victor and Hostess Soribel made sure everything in the buffet ran smoothly. They have a beautiful theater were we saw some good shows. I just wish they would get the theater Air conditioned as it would be warm in side.. We were there for Hollowen and the hotel was decorted so nice. They even had a little haunted house for the kids...All the pools were nice, great water park, and the beach my favotie of all. Very few waves and always chairs to find. This is a beautiful hotel perfect for relaxing, and nce for kids. Hopefully i will return soon. Thank you to all the people that work there you were all great.

Amazing

The resort was beautiful. Housekeeping came everyday and cleaned our rooms. We went to the spa and even upgraded our stay to gold. Our concierge Marcos was amazing. We will be back in the near future

We arrived at the hotel around 12 noon and were told that we had three rooms. One on the adult only side and two on the family side. We were told to call Expedia to fix since we wanted both rooms on the adult only side. After spending hours on the phone we cancelled one room from the family side to later be told by the front desk that someone made an error in checking us into someone else's room on the adult only side. We packed and went to the family side to be told we did not have a room due to the earlier cancellation. We called Expedia and was only given the option to cancel our package and rebook the package for $4000. We did not like this option and was asked to be transferred to a manager. The manager raised his voice and reitterated my only option was to cancel the package and rebook. The manager hung up on me and I had no other option but to rebook the room paying twice to stay at Serenada. We received no assistance from the hotel or Expedia. Two days later we received a call from a manager giving us preferred guest bands. This in no way resolves the issues we had with Expedia and Serenade. I'm pissed!!!

We arrived at the adult only side of the hotel at 12 noon. We were told that we had three rooms booked. Two of the rooms were on the family side and one was on the adult only side. We were told to call expedia because we wanted to be booked for the adult only side. Talked on the phone with Expedia for more than 2 hours and decided to cancel one of the rooms on the family side and be penalized with a cancellation fee. We checked into one room on the family side and one room on the adult only side. Later to be told by the front desk that the front desk made an error in checking us into someone else's room and we have to leave and transfer to a room on the family side. Once over to the family side we were told no reservation was available for us due to the previous cancellation so we would need to call Expedia to get the room reinstated. Once on the phone with Expedia for another hour or so and being transferred to a manager, the manager tells me my only option is to cancell my entire package and rebook the package which would have me spend another $4000. We did not like this option and the manager raised his voice to me and hung up the phone. We were left with no other option but to rebook our room or be roomless in the Domincan Republic. Could not get any help from the hotel or Expedia so left paying twice for one room. Two days later we were called by a manager from the hotel and was given preferred guest tags for the hotel. This by no means resolves the predicament. I'm piss

The food was not that great. In the area of the bufet there were a lot of flys steping in the foods. That was pretty upsetting. The towels and bed sheets had stains and looked in very bad conditions.

Enjoyed our stay here, staff were friendly from the time we stepped foot onto the resort! Be sure to make reservations at the restaurants that they offer, the Hibachi- Teppenyaki (may have misspelled) was great. Buffet was okay. Overall we loved the resort.
