After reading reviews, I was pretty nervous to book this property. After deciding to book and staying for 8 days, I can say that a lot of the reviews do not do the property and staff justice. All of the staff that I encountered were amazing— they all were a lot of fun, extremely nice, and very helpful. The property itself was well maintained and clean. My entire family enjoyed their vacation and would definitely go back again!

The reason I decided to rate a 1 is for the room. I had what looked like black mold on the door. I stayed 4 nights and had cold showers 3 straight nights. I reported it each night in the RIU app and was told it was fixed each night but it was not. I found a roach in my room and left a soda can open next to the coffee and when I returned later that night the can was covered with ants. The food options were decent for me as a vegetarian. The birds are a little annoying. There was another roach out walk around the tables. The pools, ocean access were great. Most workers were nice enough even with the language barrier. Do not use the room safe. As I was checking out, there was a lady who was yelling at the front desk staff that someone stole all her money from the room safe. The parties where well organized and super fun.

The property is beautiful. The bathrooms could of been more clean. Also the water took forever to drain out the showers. The food was ok, if you like pancakes and waffle. I found omelets being my go to daily. Dinner was some what disappointing. It was definitely alot of food there but not to my liking. Overall its a nice place if your just there for fun.

Everything was great. And Kenny, in the food service breakfast area was wonderful! The beach, pools and games areas were very well kept, and the food menus for evening dining provided high quality service and flavours. I would strongly suggest the resort set up designated smoking areas. There is far too much smoking permitted in the snack bar areas.

everything else was horrible from the front desk staff to the pool towel attendant, where do I start, the first night we couldn’t have dinner at the steakhouse because the guy at the door turned us away, we were at the door at 6:18 pm, but he was taking other people in, he didn’t give me an answer when I asked him why he was doing that, so we ate the horrible food from the Buffet, next day we had a tour and the food from the tour we had was delicious nothing compared to the resort, next morning we wanted clean pool towels and they were none available, we went about 2 hrs later and nothing, the pool towel attendant said 30 mins to me and 5 mins to another person, I checked again about 30 mins later like he said and nothing, I couldn’t wait I took my dirty towels back to my room, which when we got back to our room from being in the beach and the pool all day, the room hadn’t been cleaned, i asked the maid in Spanish that was outside the room to please clean it, she said yes, but no she didn’t. the Spanish Restaurant fish was unbeatable, it had bones and I just couldn’t eat it, I went to the bar that has snacks and there was nothing to eat, the cheese was super cold, there was no tortilla chips left, there was only bread buns but no hamburger meat, when I got back to my room the room was still dirty there was no clean towels, I called the front desk, and the lady name Ann told me that there was no one there to clean the rooms, she was very rude about it, I told her that I need

Food was terrible!!! Our room smelled like sewage, we said something and they did nothing about it. Every time we took a shower our bathroom would flood and stink. Very disappointing. The staff was friendly and the beach was nice. But this experience definitely ruined our trip, never staying at a Riu again.
