Customer service needs to improve. The quality of the rooms needs to improve. The rooms have a bad smell and are very humid. The food at the "El Mercado" buffet was always cold and unclean. They cleaned the room, took away the dirty towels, and didn't leave clean ones. The room service menu was very limited, and everything reasonable in the hotel was for the "privileged" guests.

We had a great time and we loved it There were a lot of pros and few cons Pros 1. Service at dinning was exceptional and beyond perfect ill name few Daniel at the buffet & i think ricardo or edwardo at steak house 2.house keeping they are beyond amazing and they clean the room beyond perfection 3.KEvin which was assigned by you guys as the person to contact for needs , he was amazing , booked reservations for us , send us daily activities and minor issues he works on correcting them immediately, Cons : 1.Dont ever get fooled or tricked into their time share or selling you or upgading u into vip , they wasted 3 hours of our vacation time , the first person comes friendly and shows he cares and tell you please help me out to get my points and it will be only one hour & you will get massage or bags or bottle of drink which is a lie , we didnt get anything and they wasted 3 hours of our time Zero/5. 2.they dont have ice machine close to the room you have to call to get that which is very inconvenient you have to call and it will take almost an hour to get it and you ask for a big bucket they send you cups 3. They only refull your bar early in the morning so if you are asleep you miss out if you have the sign on the door We'll still give it a 5 star because its beautiful resort , good food , extremely friendly staff except the timeshare people dont waste a minute out of your time for those time share or whatever they are trying to tell you VIP & personal buttler non sense

1st: this CANNOT be a 5-star property. The common areas, lobby, staff...all very nice on the outside. Rooms? Average at best. We had to move rooms F-O-U-R times in 5 days. First room was very musty and was bothering my husband's asthma; it had ZERO cold/cool water in bathroom. Brushed teeth with warm water. 2nd room had a power issue and we kept losing power. After maintenance man looked at it, we had to pack up in the dark at 10:30 at night and move rooms. 3rd room had no working A/C. 4th room wasn't much better. Railing on outdoor balcony was broken, railing going to rooftop was practically falling off. Not 5 stars. The best meals we had were at the buffet and the steakhouse. Pretty sure I lost weight on this trip. THE BEST part of the property was our personal concierge, Kevin. He was on top of our room issues. He went out of his way to fix things. Kevin is 5 stars!! Beach: nope. Apparently it's seaweed season there. The piles of seaweed on the shore were about 15' tall, and added to every day. One excursion to another property has zero seaweed. I think they could do more for fun on the property, considering you can't use the beach.

We stayed at Ocean El Faro from May 28 to June 3, and it was our first all-inclusive vacation experience. Overall, we had a very positive impression. The most memorable part of our stay was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff — everyone always greeted us with a smile and was ready to help whenever needed. Special thanks to our concierge, Kevin, who was available 24/7 and responded quickly and efficiently to every request we had. His support made our stay even more comfortable. The resort is spacious, with a beautiful layout, tasty food, and plenty of activities to enjoy. While it’s clear that the hotel is not brand new and shows some signs of age, it didn’t negatively impact our overall experience. The only real disappointment was the beach — it was not well-maintained, and unfortunately, swimming in the ocean was not possible during our stay. We hope the management addresses this issue, as the beach is such an important part of a Caribbean vacation. In general, we left with great memories and would be happy to return. Thank you to the whole team at Ocean El Faro!

This was my first time at a resort. It was pretty good! The reason for only 4 stars is the restaurants you have to reserve ahead of time were not great except for Sakura. Sakura had the best food. Next, would be El Mercado the buffet. The worst restaurant as far as I’m food quality and taste would be Route 66 which is disappointing because I’ve had it before in the States. But the rest of the trip was awesome. The stuff was friendly and had great customer service.

Delicious food, excellent service. What a shame that shuttle want available ti the airport if you booked through expedia and not directly with their webside. Also the cats around the property should get neutered as they live there and just conditioning the customer to not feed them doesn't solve the health issue that could bring. Please implement a program that help those cat to get homes or keeo them healthy at the end of the day they clean and keep the rats away.
