The property was excellent, easily walkable and easy to navigate. We upgraded to Privilege and found it worth it except our Butler. He failed us daily and didn't tell us about our chef's dinner we could have enjoyed. The rest of the staff very friendly. Knowing some to moderate amount of Spanish is helpful!

I am a solo black female traveler and I felt mostly safe. They made me feel special throughout my time here for my birthday! I like the resort staff they really friendly and helpful. It was one day a staff just walked in my room cause he had to refill the mini fridge I’m glad I wasn’t naked lol. The electricity kept going out at the resort maybe it was the wind but it came back on fast. I probably won’t come back unless I’m with family because I feel like they have more family oriented stuff but I still had fun.

While my family and I had a good time, we definitely would not stay here again. Pros: There are 2 large, beautiful pools. The quality of the food at the buffet was good, particularly the fruit. Cons: The service was not good, and the hotel itself was generally disorganized. There is a system where you exchange cards for towels. NO ONE told us about this system, and we didn't receive the cards at check-in. There also aren't enough towels - by about 11 am every day, they are out. There aren't enough beach/pool chairs - everyone holds them by putting their stuff on them, but by about 9am there are none left for the rest of the day. Water - you receive water bottles in the hotel room at check-in, but on day 2, we asked for more water bottles from guest services but it took 3 requests until we got them about 8 hrs later. Concierge - everyone gets a number for a concierge who is supposed to help you with issues. Ours had an hours-long doctor's appointment on day 2. Obviously his health is most important, but someone needs to cover him while he's away. I asked him about reservations at a restaurant at night, and he said he would see what he could do, but I got no follow up. I found out later that really the only way to make reservations are to stand in line for >1hr starting at 8 am at a desk by the buffet. Lastly, my family was tricked into hearing ~2 hr presentation trying to lure us into a vacation club. Don't fall for it, it was a waste of time.
