I did a 3 night stay for my 30th birthday with some friends and I genuinely had a blast. The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating, the pool and beach areas were clean and the atmosphere was sooooooo relaxing. We did the swim up room and it was worth the splurge. I think next time we’re going to stay for longer and explore more. The property was absolutely massive and I know we missed stuff.

I have been to other resorts in the same area and sadly I have to admit that I was disappointed with Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. At the check in I was not offered any room upgrade, discounts for spa or free bottle of spirit (as per my purchased package perks indicated on the reservation confirmation). The first room I was given 68307 was a total disaster: the ceiling vent was leaking causing a flood in the entrance area ( making my shoes wet) , light around the headboard was not working, one of the room lights was flashing when turned on, the adjustable tv mount was broken, could not use the ceiling fan because was making squeaking noise, and the worst of all was the smell in the room - obvious mold issue! After the room was flooded at 10pm second day I was offered another room. Much much better! No smell , no water leak. Big thank you to the lady who assisted us with moving to the another room. No apology from management whatsoever! One of us also slipped on the wet stairs causing bruises all over the body, but when we mentioned it to the personel they did not seem to be concerned or did not understand. I also disliked that people were getting up at 4 am to reserve chairs at the beach, and didn’t show up till noon or later!!!! It should not be allowed! We enjoyed the weather and landscape but most likely we will not return to this property!

This property was amazing. The only complaint for me was the beds. They are hard and not comfortable. After paying $$ for an upgraded room, we had a tough time sleeping. Other than that, beautiful resort. Lots to choose from for food, and entertainment.

I give 4 starts reviews because when I opened the room it was a mold smell even the AC was on, also the carpet on the room was a little ripe which for me each details counts, a bigger company and doesn't pay attention to this details. Hopefully the new administration (Hyatt) can improve those kind of things.

Everyone at the resort was helpful and kind. This was my first time in Punta Cana and will not be the last. The choices were endless for meals, entertainment, and options. Our room was huge and well appointed. The staff were so accommodating and lovely.

La propiedad Ámbar es realmente hermosa. Totalmente regresaría. La atención y la limpieza en todas partes fue muy buena. La playa estaba hermosa y las actividades bastante entretenidas. Me encantó que en el desayuno siempre había jugo fresco o batido! Mi único comentario es que los tragos son demasiado dulce. De los restaurantes todos estuvieron bastante buenos excepto el italiano (Portofino), las pastas no estaban buenas, no parecían echas a la orden.

Difficult time checking in, did not receive a lot of the VIP amenities, except a room upgrade after Ryan insisted on it. All the restaurants had average food at average food. The buffet was probably the best. The facility, the pools and the people and staff were friendly and nice Transportation and out of the resort was difficult
