Live Aqua Punta Cana was a quick getaway trip for me and my sister to have around Christmas ’24. It ended up being a teaser, and now we’re planning to take our mother back this year for her 60th! Needless to say we fell in love. 5 stars all around.

I did not like that you can use uber which is 5x cheaper than using the taxi service that the staff kept offering. End up spending over 350$ using taxis. My last two days I used Uber and spent only 70$ going similar distances. If you are facing the west, there is construction and loud noise most of the day. I had the staff move my room and they understood how inconvenient it was.

The resort was beautiful. The beaches were well Manicured but could certainly have had more beach chairs for the number of people that were there. The pool was fine, but very simple. Swim Up bar was a nice touch. Dining options were fine. Vegetarian options were very sparse or non-existent in some restaurants, and in some cases, they would have run out of the vegetarian option. That is just inexcusable when you have only one option for vegetarians. Good ambiance and the Entertainment Staff gave their all to keep the guests entertained. Overall, a great experience and would do again, although one would hope with more dining options.

I enjoyed the property, the friendly staff, and the variety of dining options. However, I found the door to our unit a bit difficult to handle, and the hallways were surprisingly dark during the day. Additionally, with ongoing construction around the resort, there were some mosquitoes, so I recommend bringing insect repellent if you plan to stay here.

The staffs wouldn't give any warnings about this, only when we were complaining when we were leaving. Not so friendly staffs throughout the facility but always loitering around for a quick few bucks.

This is not a luxury resort, there’s nothing luxurious about the place. We stayed in room 4216, December 16th-20th 2024. Transport provided through the hotel had us on edge as the driver transported us to the hotel on the 16th, driving on the shoulder, passing cars, honking at cars and driving at excessive speeds around corners and turns. They moved us 3 times because the rooms were either full of awful mildew smells, dirty curtains and stained furniture of broken ceiling fan that was ready to detach from the ceiling. We ordered room service, which was cold and by the 3rd time placing the same order we pleaded that the food come hot. It still didn’t, if you insist on ordering room service the only thing that came hot was the pizza. The room had a dumb waiter and we were told To put our used dishes there. The dishes stayed in there for over a day. The property opened in 2021 but looks so much older. We concluded they are not doing the required maintenance. The onsite restaurants range from ok to abysmal, especially the breakfast Buffett restaurant. The grounds are ok but again you can see where they are not performing the necessary upkeep. If you’re looking for a basic resort or someone is getting married here so you have to stay here, otherwise spend your money elsewhere. The excessive flies by the cafe will have you running away. Live Aqua, your guests deserve better.
