Bar staff was amazing. Had issues with Ac stopping working and also our toilet decided it wanted to keep filling on its own and flooded our room. The sense of urgency to get it fixed was lacking. Took approximately 4 hours to get us in a new room.

The cleaning staff was excellent. The entertainment staff acted like they hated their job and didnt want to be there. I think the staff other than maid service were rude. The buffet had food where people were standing in line and breathing and talking over. The beach was beautiful and staff very nice. There were some hastles with vendors but not overwhelming. The property was very clean and well kept. We stayed in the Bahia in Jamaica and had a very plesant experience and staff was very friendly. We are thinking about teying the Ambar to see if the experience is different. Love the beach in Punta Cana.

The beach is beautiful. Food is okay. A lot of restaurant options, but the food overall was okay. Honestly the best food was at the buffet. Staff is friendly. They don't speak a lot of English as other resorts, but that's all good! Lost of shops around for souvenirs. We didn't do any excursions or spas, but we did have a Romantic Diner by the beach as it was our honeymoon. Honestly, totally worth it! You get an excellent server (Francis) and your own chef. Fantastic experience. Rooms are clean. Bed is a bit hard. The resort is huge - it has multiple resorts in the same complex. We were about a 10min walk to the beach, but it didn't feel that far. Or if you don't want to walk, they have carts and "train stops" all over the resort taking you to restaurants, the beach and pools.

Property is part of a much bigger complex, all Bahía Príncipe. That said it wasn’t a bad thing. It was a sprawling resort, it’s nice just walking around but they have golf carts shuttling people around. I never had trouble getting somewhere. Dining options you need to jump on and make reservations. It’s basically buffet for breakfast and lunch and then a restaurant for dinner each day you are there. The buffet was always decent with fresh food and a big spread. We were there a week and couldn’t try every restaurant. There is a good 7-10 of them. All were very good. The MEAT steakhouse was delicious. Our room was clean and cool and the resort was beautiful. The beach had no seaweed and was soft. There are a lot of vendors at the beach that gets old and god forbid you buy something they will never leave you alone but that’s not the properties fault. Pools were plentiful and they had dancing, foam parties, obstacle courses and wave runner slide, and a jacuzzi pool. The adults only side was nice with no kids but the other side of resort is family friendly. Shopping is not cheap and you have to haggle for everything. I haggled for a toothbrush so make sure you pack all those little things, I think sunscreen was like thirty. All in all me and my fiancé had a wonderful time the staff especially the bartenders at the pool were above excellent I tipped about a dollar a drink and got great service. They would just yell out mamajuana (national drink) and pour me a shot. just go.

It has everything you would expect of an all inclusive but it’s getting a bit old. There were stains in my bathroom. The staff are helpful but I got quoted multiple prices for a taxi to the airport which makes me wonder where the difference goes…
