Empleados muy amables. Julio nos atendió en lobster house, the grill y en teppanyaki y su trato fué excelente. La comida muy buena. Los previos del hotel limpios. Lugar tranquilo, donde pudimos descansar. No obstante, cuando llegamos la habitación tenía los sanitarios sucios, el jacuzzi con hongo (nunca se utilizó por esto) y el baño por las noches se mojaba todo el piso ya que el aire botaba agua. Esto lo notifiqué en front desk y solo me enviaron DOS toallas limpias para la habitación (ya que le mencioné que tuve que utilizarlas todas para ponerlas en el piso cuando el aire botaba agua)

The property was beautiful! I strongly recommend the 2 story room with the plunge pool. The food was amazing and they kept the drinks coming. The only negative I have is the soliciting on the beach. I wanted to truly relax but was interrupted several times by people who wanted to sell massages, pictures, cigars, bracelets, etc. However, overall this is a 5 star resort.

We lost power in our room 6016 . This was a horrible experience. We didn’t receive any apology or compensation. This is unacceptable for no one to apologize for this horrible situation. We paid a lot of money to come there . It was my birthday and this happens. There is a lack of fun events going on during the day like other places . Everything closes so early sports bar , club , the shows . They need and experience coordinator for fun events . The power going out made this an horrible experience. No one said sorry no compensation nothing .

Overall great property for a nice couple get away. At this time of year and midweek the resort was not very full so no issues getting chairs at beach, pool, or even meals. The staff went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The was what would be expected I guess at an all inclusive, but the variety of options was pretty good. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. We stayed in a swim out room and honestly didn’t use that swim out pool very much. It was hot and we liked being closer to the beach and bars. But it was great to have the larger patio and even a quick jump in the pool. The seaweed was quite heav, but the staff was working hard at night and all day to remove it. The seaweed is just bad all over the Caribbean this time of year anywhere you go, but we didn’t mind it or it didn’t really ruin anything.

The only thing that ruined our experience was 2 of our 3 excursions booked through a guy they call BB King. He tried to hustle us on prices and then he booked us for an excursion on a day that it was closed. He booked us on a coty tour and they took us to the market in Higuey. Very unexpected and we were not dress les for the conditions. The. When we got to the church he told us we had to pay a guy $20 for the tour then he tried to make us buy gift in a very unexpected place. Then when we arrived back at the resort the guy told us we owe him $70... Apparently BB King "Brunete Britus" charged us $175 for thr tour and was keeping the money thats why he insisted we pay cash for the speed boat and city tour. And wanted us to pay credit for the 7 & 1 tour. Speed boat tour we spent over an hour stuck in thr water because the motor kept dying. He made those 2 days out of our 7 the worst we have ever experienced while traveling and this resort was the best...

First time visit to the DR and first stay at Excellence El Carmen. Happy with everything and did not disappoint at all. Booked a Excellence Club Beachfront Honeymoon Swim up. I wanted a swim up with a great ocean view, and it was everything I wanted and then some. Service was great, food options were great, entertainment was great too. I highly recommend this as your next choice for your Carribean stay.
