Cute resort. Similar to all of the other Barcelos I’ve been too. Food was hit or miss. I did develop a stomach bug while I stayed here but we did eat at establishments outside of the resort so there’s not a for sure connection.

The resort was very nice. I did notice that it was stuffy in all the restaurants we went in. I felt bad that the workers didnt get much AC in these areas. The sports bar had a bad smell. I was amazed at how many smokers were at this resort. All in all, the resort was nice, but the stuffy air and cigarette smoke killed it for me. Also, the adults only rooms had bath tub/shower combo. Adults only normally has walk in showers, not a bathtub combo.

I loved that the ocean was so close to the resort. The food was delish, although I wish there were more mangos and avocados. The entertainment staff was lots of fun, we enjoyed getting to know Franyer Fransua, Luis Germosen, Ezequiel Cherrry and Marleny Cedeño and also Angel (I didnt get his last name). We would come back because of them.

There are a lot of options to do but most of them are located at the Palace side. The adult side only has 3 restaurants. Personally, the spa and the casino should have been located nearer the adult side. But the trolley is always available

The property is absolutely beautiful. I wish i was able to stay longer! Food was delicious and drinks were made well. Staff was accommodating. I would say, however, the towels for the hotel room that were given had stains. They were clean but with stains which i thought was not okay. That was my only issue with our stay. Also, expect for every worker there to HUSTLE you lol

We enjoyed our stay at Bavaro Beach. The pools and beach are beautiful and the dining options are wonderful. We took full advantage of the sit-down restaurants at the adjoining Bavaro Palace, where the food was amazing and service top-notch. The only thing keeping this resort from getting a 5-star rating is the rooms. They are dated and the amenities were inconsistent. For example, we were provided with shampoo and shower gel but no body lotion, and smaller towels were hard to come by. Also, the rooms were clean yet quite dated. The spa was closed during our visit, apparently due to some kind of equipment failure. However, there was no communication from the staff to the guests about the closure and no alternate options offered. We paid a little extra for the Premium package and it was totally worth it as we received an upgraded room and access to an all-day private lounge with refreshments. Overall would recommend this resort and return, regardless of the few issues we experienced,
