Enjoyed a great 5-night stay an Krystal Grand in Nuevo Vallarta. Our ocean-front room had a great view, clean, and provided plenty of room. The buffet restaurant was always excellent with good variety. We also ate at two of the specialty restaurants (reservations required), and enjoyed them. The pools were clean, and not overly crowded. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Krystal. Here’s the good-overall property was maintained beautifully and the adult pool and washroom facilities were maintained perfectly. I loved the activities and the staff were amazing. The bars were stocked with a good assortment of drinks and alcohol and the bartenders were always friendly and accommodating. Here’s the “opportunities”-our room was very run down and needed a refresh and the housecleaning staff did the bare minimum to keep our room clean. Overall the food was just okay. We couldn’t get any reservations in the restaurants other than the Mexican cafe and we had to eat at 10:00. The buffet was hit and miss. Some days it was really good and some days it wasn’t. That being said I could always find something to eat. Overall I felt that there were too many people in the resort as at one point we had to wait a 1/2 hour to get a table(especially in the morning). Overall 4/5 stars. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay very memorable.

We stayed here for 4 nights, although the staff was very friendly and attentive, what I didn't like was the food choices, mostly it was on repeat. And for the 2/4 nights we stayed there they had the music so loud with DJ by the pool area up until 10pm. It was terrible when you have a baby with you and wanting to also sleep early!! we couldn't sleep until they stopped playing the music at 10pm, I even have to ask the front lobby and they were just ignoring my request. I usually do not complained but the loudness was just ridiculous!!! specially it was a family friendly hotel resort not an only adult result, they should be thinking of those families who have younger children that wants to relax

Overall very nice however the music and loudness at night and late at night is TOO loud. Noise should subside after 9pm and not go until 12AM. The view of the property is very nice, and most staff but not all are very friendly.

The only complaint which isn’t much is our first night there my husband’s cup accidentally slipped out of his hand, spilling his wine. During my stay, the hotel was fully booked because it was mid March. With that said there were long lines to get into the buffet and then you had to jockey to get to the food. Longer lines to get cocktails. Unsupervised kids in buffet all the time. Adult pool chairs and beach chairs were all reserved by the crack of dawn (nobody enforces the "no reserving chairs" rule). Both pools had very loud bad music all day. At night you can't sleep before midnight because the activities in the courtyard go full blast until then. Dance party, karaoke, etc, every night. Maids came at around 5pm daily, had to be told to sweep (rooms get sandy), they make the beds but don't change the sheets (5 days). Sometimes they stock coffee and water, most days not. Only one place to get coffee early, I was lucky that I was in the same building that had the coffee, if you're in a different building, you're gonna have a long walk. The buffet was only certain hours, they had three other restaurants, but you had to make reservations and they were always booked. The beach was rocky and the vendors were relentless. I have stayed at a few all-inclusive resorts and this was definitely one of the lower end ones. I was surprised they had such good reviews. Maybe people don't know that there's better resorts out there

The hotel is great for families. The kids club is very underwhelming, more for those under 7. Food options are very basic, the hotel in Puerto Vallarta had better and more variety of options. It was convenient to have an OXXO literally at the front of the hotel. The rooms are fairly basic.
