Our first time to Puerto Vallarta - was a great introduction hotel. We did not know ahead of time the hotel was partly closed due to the upcoming new building structure. We assume this is why there was no real entertainment to attend in the evening like other hotels we have been to in the past. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Melina our guest services host. We were a bit surprised the beach vendors were permitted to walk through the lounge chair area on the beach but very close to the pool.

Enjoyed a 7 night stay here , staff were friendly and helpful . Food wasn't great but there's options at least. Rooms were the highlight , super spacious and clean. Pools are good but not super baby/toddler friendly. Awkward location as it's 40 minutes walk from the main town but if you are planning on just a resort stay it's ok as the beach is steps away

Villa Pal Mar Vallarta provides excellent service in a comfortable setting. We have stayed at newer, huge all-inclusive resorts and find that we much prefer the smaller setting that VPL provides. What the facilities lack due to age, the service and excellent food and drinks more than make up for.

Very family friendly, good food, friendly staff, delicious Pina Coladas, the beach and pool were fantastic! Only thing I would change is the coffee situation, the coffee shop has very good coffee, so there is always a line. I would have been happy to be able to fill up a paper cup with brewed coffee in the morning.

The room was very clean. Most of Staffs were very polite. The weakness of property: Did not have entertainment. There were a lot of entertainments in other Mexico properties that I visited before. Getting a liquor was very good and fast, but I had to waited usually about half our to have one coffee in the hotel.
