All the staff we encountered were all super friendly and I would go back just because of this. The food options were ok, you have to make reservations early morning for one of their better restaurants in the day of and if you don’t get in the only option is their buffet which was not terrible. The room could use a better cleaning and you could tell their mattresses are old. You can also hear everything going on outside in your room so we would get woken up by their live music in the late night and woken up early morning by the DJ that started at 8am.

The resort was beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice, and the staff & service were amazing! We were there celebrating my sisters 25th wedding anniversary and the staff left a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for them. The resort is a lil far from town but worth the views! There were also a few weddings during our stay and we could hear the music blaring quite late on a Friday night. Saturdays wedding music was as expected for a wedding. Getting a massage near the beach in an open cabana type setting, listening to the waves and feeling the breeze was amazing. (It’s on the far end of the beach, not included with the resort) ******THE FOOD; it was horrible, it was bland and the food that was premade looked as if it had been sitting out all day, breakfast included. The bacon was like chewing on some carne seca, beef jerky! As a party of 4, if it weren’t for the beer, I think we all might have lost weight! Very disappointing because we book all inclusives for the food and beer! This review would have been 10 stars otherwise!

My stay at Barcelona Puerto Vallarta was amazing. It exceeded my expectations with the rooms, which were spectacular and very clean. Dining selections were plentiful. We loved the buffet which had many options for all 3 meals. It was impressive to see that all dining rooms were efficiently run to there was no waiting for tables. I would definitely recommend this resort!

It is a beautful resort, but needs updating. Lamp shades in our room were broken, stained marble, paint peeling. Worst part was only one elevator was working and the place was packed because of wesdings. You could wait for 3 or 4 cycles befor you could dinally get on the elevator. Half the time we took the stairs..we were on the 6th floor! Nice that they had weddings there but the music was so loud after 11before it was quiet I know several families complained because they had small children that couldn't sleep because it was so loud.

Pro: Staff was amazing, from the premium concierge, to the wait staff, to the bartenders. The location was gorgeous. Cons: The rooms were spacious, almost to a fault, what I mean by that is that the rooms are quite large and have small details that seemed to get missed by housecleaning. The food was lack luster. We were on the 8th floor and the tower we were in only had one working elevator.
