At the Senator, the buffet staff stop you at the door to ask your room number, as if being inside the resort weren't enough. They also treat foreign guests with better behavior. At the Playa Bachata resort, they have better customer service, except for the employee who works in the pasta and pizza area at Playa Bachata. That man has no customer service and was always angry. The food at the Senator's buffet was the same every day, there was no variety. The cleanliness was very good, and my pool room at the Senator was a good experience. But that's the only positive thing I took away from the resort.

The property itself was beautiful. The bartenders and waiters were very nice and helpful. I got the swim up pool bedroom and it was extremely filthy. I had to call multiple times for someone to clean it. It was only cleaned once and I only used it once during my stay due to the lack of maintenance. The food at the buffet was good but it had a very small selection and lack of culture food options. The Hibachi restaurant was not that great, lack of flavor and entertainment is what made it not worth it. I really liked the small shopping area with the different store options such as the gelato shop and the coffee shop. Also, do not fall for the timeshares. They say it’s the resort’s anniversary and are doing a raffle of winning a week vacation. It is all a lie and a waste of time. The beach area is beautiful and clean. This was a good resort but I would not go back or recommend this to my family. It is an overpriced resort and you get very little in return.

Resort was ok, found a few roaches around the buffet and sports bar area (small indoor roaches not the big ones normally seen outside) not much to do around the resort. Shops are minimal and don’t offer much variety. Staff was very friendly, specially the sports bar staff. Overall this resort is good to go and relax with early nights in bed. Would not recommend long term stays due to repeated entertainment shows and food variety.

Honestly great, great resort. Despite the power going down 3 times during our 2 night stay which it only went down for 30 seconds. Our first night the bed sheets had an extremely awful smell. Once I called about it they immediately came to change the sheets and everything was well after that. Food was not the best it was mediocre, much did not have flavor. Variety could be better. But I’m not complaining, we were able to eat. The refilling of the drinks in the refrigerator was very nice. Pool was great. Room was great. Coffee machine and the drinks were a plus. Lastly the views that this resort has are just spectacular.. they literally have amazing areas for photo taking for the people that are very photo friendly we also got lucky and were able to see a cruise ship dock because they pulled the horn and this was the coolest and most breath taking thing iv seen.
