There were some bug issues in the rooms but that’s understandable in that weather climate. There were also some repairs that needed to be made for instance a broken staircase that they simply put a tarp over. Then in the arcade some of the ceiling was falling down so we didn’t even let my nieces go in there. It smelled like mold in there too. You had to make a reservation for the restaurants and often times they would say the restaurant was closed. You also could not take any food from the buffet to your room. That was frustrating because sometimes you wanted to have a bit to eat during the closed hours of the buffet. Lastly, the staff would hound you to do the VIP tour to upgrade your stay. Very annoying. We made the most of it and had fun and there were some staff that were amazing like Genisis at the beach snack bar. We have been to the DR three times and would not return to Emotions.
