I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Blue Bay. The check-in process was unnecessarily time-consuming, as they insisted on matching my signature to my ID, which felt completely irrelevant—this is a hotel, not a bank or immigration office! It was a waste of time right from the start. The front desk staff, especially Manolo, were not helpful at all. Instead of offering solutions to issues that the property caused, he was completely indifferent and unprofessional. At checkout, they made us wait unnecessarily just to return the key and bracelet. We're tourists, not thieves—we’re not trying to take anything from the hotel! The hotel itself is very old and poorly maintained, which only added to the frustration. The service was the worst I've experienced, and I would highly advise against staying here. You’ll end up wasting your time and money. I would never return and strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

What we liked - small resort (if that’s your thing), not busy, lots of beach cabanas by the ocean and chairs by the pool (it didn’t matter what time you went out), grounds are well maintained. What we disliked - food was perfectly fine but limited options, main floor rooms did not have covered terraces so when it rained, you had no choice but be inside, service and friendliness of staff was a hit or miss, ocean is ok.

We liked and enjoyed our stay, everyone was so nice and friendly. Enjoy some of the food and lots of choice. We found the room very basic but enough to sleep and shower in. Fun and great entertainment! Would return, ideal adult only!!

NOT really All-Inclusive!!! Bad Enough that hotel charges $3.00/day for wifi. They don't tell you it is $3 per device! One laptop & 2 phones - $9/day. $3/day to use the safe!!! Who charges for a safe. BullS*** Only Dominican made liquors are included. Food is typical buffet mundane. You might pay more, but go to a REAL all-inclusive.

Loved my stay, rooms a little dated, it got a little rowdy over the weekend with all the locals turning up but was definitely quiet the rest of the time. I didnt loke having to pay for the internet which was intermittent and i have no idea why you would charge for the safety deposit box in the room. Food was good, i question if the alcohol was watered down also...
