The place seems to be returning to the earth. Smells of old cigarettes. Seems like the doors have been kicked in a few times. It was affordable and conveniently located on the highway. Try to get an upstairs room on the backside of the hotel facing away from the semi-truck engine brakes coming into town through the night.

very old building in bad shape, we were shocked when we arrived, but the room was clean and decent, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean with nice shower/bathtub. great tasting coffee for the little coffemaker ;-) . Overall good stay altough no daily housekeeping as listed

The room was so awful that we couldn't stay there overnight, cancelled the reservation and left. The room had a strong smell of cigarettes. The air conditioner is old and works very loudly. The room couldn't be locked from the outside, the lock was broken.

Barely Passable
Not sure where to start. First of all, the Sandman name here is an insult to the larger Sandman chain. The place is old and looks run down, the only good thing I can say about it is the room was clean. The original air conditioner had been replaced with a smaller unit that was obviously too small for the original hole so they stuffed a towel on one side of the unit (to hold it in place?), you could see outside as no attempt was made to enclose it properly. The restaurant attached was permanently closed and the first thing you saw when you entered the tiny lobby was a vending machine which was out of order. In the morning there was nobody at the front counter to return the room key to but someone had put out coffee which we did not take any of.
