This is a beautifully located B&B. We stayed in the main house and because it was winter we had it all to ourselves. Although, the main house is open for all the guests (there are two additional buildings of rooms) to use the common areas on the lower floor. We were told the main house was built in 1870.
The rooms do not have TV's, but there is a TV in the common area in a lovely library setting with a fireplace. Each room does have a portable DVD player and there are approximately 100 movies to choose from in their collection. The DVD collection is a little heavy on the drama side so if you want horror or comedy you should bring some movies with you.
They supply you with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Sodas, microwave popcorn, granola bars, bottles of wine (for sale).
The grounds are beautiful. During the summer you could keep busy all day in the outdoors with their bikes, kayaks, pool, and pier. You can also arrange boat tours that pick you up right on their dock. The nearby town of Mathews is quaint with shops and restaurants.
We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!
