Check in was a self check in, which was a little unexpected as I missed the text message that was sent, however it was ok. The room was very clean and refurbished, except the bathroom. Overall it was very comfortable and met expectations.

We had a lovely stay while in Port Fairy for a family celebration. The room was ideal and was spacious enough that we were able invite some family back to have a coffee before they headed home.

While the room has been nicely presented and comfortable inside, the big trucks road noise of the A1 woke us during the night and morning, including another room exiting at 6:30am. On arriving reception was closed, with a contactless check-in procedure note on the door with instructions to call a number to find out your room number and door code. It was so impersonal. It felt like Covid revisited!

There was no one at reception. They were suppose to text and email the code to our rooms but didn't. We had to call to get the code for the room and the person at the other end had bad reception so it took a few calls to get the code. We had to hunt for towels.
