Was assigned a concierge upon arrival to assist with booking restaurants. He would answer hours later. I mentioned it to him, he apologized but nothing was done about it. The food was not that great and they were definitely short staffed at the pool bars. One bartender to assist everyone and those poor men were truly working their behinds off. Jorge at the swim up bar was EXCELLENT and deserves a raise! Other than that I would not recommend nor will I return.

The hotel is beautiful. Did not get to go into the ocean bc of seaweed which I understand can’t be helped. Staff 10/10 and amenities 10/10 and drinks 10/10. Food 3/10 and room was 3/10. Stayed in the Junior suite with balcony Jacuzzi. The room had a very bad mildew smell. The hot water did not work in the bathtub. Check in was at 3PM did not get a room until 4:15PM. The buffet for dinner was very disappointing. Bland and no seasoning. The breakfast buffet was very good. Food trucks were better than most of the restaurants. The spa is 10/10. Again staff was amazing only time I caught an attitude was with one lady working in the coffee shop. Overall I still made the best of it but likely won’t be coming back.

Our stay at Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun was overall fantastic, with many highlights that made our vacation memorable. The buffet was absolutely massive, offering an incredible variety of excellent food that catered to every taste. The specialty restaurants were a delight, with Zen Teppanyaki being the jewel of the crown. Chef Hugo was the star of the show, delivering an unforgettable dining experience with his skill and charisma. The staff truly elevated our stay, with special thanks to Cesar Eslava and Mario Mariles, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel so welcome. Most of the team we encountered worked with genuine smiles and a commitment to great service. However, our experience was marred by significant issues with room service and the fridge stocking department, both of which desperately need a management overhaul and better staff training. The room floors were consistently dirty and never properly mopped, which was disappointing. The fridge was inconsistently stocked, often lacking enough water bottles and chocolate milk for our child, which felt stingy and frustrating. Despite these drawbacks, the resort’s strengths made our stay enjoyable, and we’d return with hopes that these issues are addressed. Thank you to the staff who made our trip special!

Pros: The hotel is very well organized, structurally. The kid's areas are very very good, the splash is great. The pools are really nice and clean. Bars everywhere. The specialty restaurants are great, good quality food and presentation. Nice ocean views. Waiter Ruben, at the buffet, was the only real helpful person I saw in 8 days. Sports Bar fish sticks great (but very slow services). Cons: No food variety at the buffet. Long lines for the eggs. Not friendly or helpful staff. Room service never on time, never the right order. Not enough high chairs for the babies. Bowling is not free, it's $60,00 per hour. Jumping place, NOT free. Huge line for pizza. It's just like if the hotel was not design to hold that many guests. ______________________________ Overall, and as I went for the kids and they had a very great time, I would go agian.

This was, without question, the worst vacation I’ve ever had — and sadly, my last attempt with the Royalton brand after giving it far too many chances (at least 9 combined stays between Jamaica and Mexico). This time was the final straw. Nothing works. Let me repeat that: NOTHING WORKS. From the moment I arrived, it was a complete disaster. The bathroom sink and shower water backed up daily, leaving the room smelling awful. The room itself? A total wreck — dirty, run-down, and clearly neglected. I’ve seen better conditions in budget motels. The water park was a joke — the slides didn’t work, and there were no signs or apologies, just disappointment. Even the ice cream ran out, and somehow they ran out of food on multiple occasions. How does an all-inclusive resort run out of food?Trying to get a reservation for the restaurants? Good luck. I couldn’t get into a single one. The concierge told me he secured a reservation — I show up, and of course, nothing. Just another example of the total disorganization and complete lack of accountability. The staff was unfriendly, dismissive, and unhelpful. Customer service was non-existent. I felt like I was bothering them anytime I asked for even the most basic things. One night, I was literally sitting at the bar mid-drink when they just shut the lights off without warning. That about sums it up — abrupt, rude, and clueless.

The resort was extremely clean and staffed very well. The amount of restaurants is amazing. So much to choose from. Check in was a breeze and the staff went above and beyond, especially Abraham who went out of his way to check on us daily and provided beyond exceptional service

This might be a good resort for first timers in Cancun but if you've visited others, their offerings and services are subpar compared with others. The resort is fairly new and I can see the appeal for families with young children as there are huge water slides and pool areas geared towards them. The check-in process took very long despite doing the online pre-check-in prior to arrival. We didn't get to try all the restaurants, but the ones we did were just ok. The buffet was a bit disappointing and lacked variety. A lot of vegetables and rice, not a lot of proteins. They have a few made to order stations for burgers, tacos, pasta, etc. but you'd have to wait in line. The best meal we had was in the Cave. Very cool ambiance. Highly recommend. The Italian, brazilian steakhouse, and teppanyaki were all just ok. We tried to go to the Sportsbar but they warned us the food would take an hour despite it not being crowded midday so we opt to skip. There's also a food truck by the pools but there's always a long line as well and they kept running out of food. The drinks lacked alcohol, mainly juice. They couldn't figure out a margarita on the rocks and kept giving us frozen margaritas with ice chunks in it until we finally gave up asking and just switched to wine instead. Service was also inconsistent. Some staff members were great and super helpful while others were mediocre. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Natalia for Expedia was amazing. She helped me with a few incidents that happened. They told me they were gonna upgrade my room and I said OK but I had an ocean view Jacuzzi and they upgraded me to diamond club without the privilege of having a diamond club. So actually, it was not an upgrade cause I did not have ocean front I had ocean view. Also, I had three days I was calling to ask for a bar soap and never got it until I had to ask multiple people, but Natalie from Expedia got it done and do not do the timeshares that they give you there. It’s not worth it they are an fraudand the food is not that good at all. Also, they don’t tell you they do have alligators coming to the beach.
