The property was nice and lots of things to do. Food was very good for a resort. Pools were decent , but a little on the cold side. Didnt really care for the privilege club stuff, and the different tiers of membership etc.

Hubby and I had an amazing honeymoon at this resort. Shoutout to all the amazing staff that went above and beyond to make our time there so friendly and enjoyable - Manuel the bartender, experience team members Viri, Carlos, and especially Kenddell, whose energy and kindness did not go unnoticed. He is one of a kind. So many fun activities at the resort - crafts, games, aquafit, kayak tours…We were never bored. Restaurants and serving staff were great and there was decent variety. Plus- we didn’t get sick from the food at all here! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

It's only 20mins to PDC but it's $60 roundtrip from the hotel. The taxi's have a horrible monopoly. The hotel itself- it's time for a reno. The grounds have no drainage so during a heavy rain, water on the walking paths can be ankle deep or higher. This hotel seems to be going through an identity crisis. It's like it wants to be "higher end" but it lacks the staff and amenities to achieve that. The check-in process was/is unnecessarily long and ill-staffed for the numbers they deal with. If you're not VIP (Prestige Club), good luck getting the front staff's attention. In most AI's, the buffet is awful and the a la cartes are great. At this hotel, it's the opposite- the buffet is great- something for everyone, fresh and tasty! The a la cartes were awful. There were 2 staff that stood out- Kenddell and Viridiana- they save this place! I hope they get to read these and know what a difference they make to people's vacations.

Overall the stay was good. The food can definitely be better. They need a good pastry chef…. we did not have a single good dessert during our stay. Kendall was an amazing entertainer for the poolside audience. I also think the beach could be better. It doesn’t have direct access it’s blocked off by a fence and it was very dirty. Would we come back? no, but it was a nice vacation overall.

I signed a form for the free bottle of wine, never received it. I saw that in a few other reviews. There are not much options to eat on the resort. The buffet is not that tasty except for breakfast. Lunch and dinner go off the resort or hope that you find a reservation for one of the restaurants. The restaurant next to the buffet the food portions are basically non-existent i wish I can include a picture . It's a thin piece of meat and a scoop of potatoes. The staff is nice . Bring straws or a cup if needed as they don't have, which is most places. We were able to schedule transportation off the resort very easily. Our main thing was the food and sometimes limited options at night

The villas were beautiful and located in a very calm environment, making it an ideal place for relaxation. There were plenty of fun activities to enjoy, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The sports bar staying open overnight was a great perk. The food was excellent overall, except for the experience at La Dolce Vita, which was underwhelming. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reserve the Japanese restaurant despite trying early in the morning. The main drawback was that after heavy rain, many walkways to the villas became impassable for extended periods, which was quite inconvenient.

*FOOD POISONING ON CHRISTMAS DAY* The food was very mediocre at best. If you cook a lot at home, you can probably cook better meals than what you get here. Breakfast was good because you can't really screw up an omelette. For lunch and dinner the meats were dry and desserts were worse than grocery store bought cakes. Pastries at the coffee shop were dry. Coffee shop lady was very friendly and coffee was ok. On Christmas around 10:45pm (right before the menu change) I was served room temperature/cold chicken wings from the sports bar and didn't think much of it (they probably had these chicken wings cooked from earlier in the service and was left at room temperature before serving to me). 1-2 hours after consuming the chicken I had the onset of fever and chills followed by profuse vomiting and diarrhea. Unfortunately, the malaise, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps carried over into the next day and we had to cancel our Chichen itza tour that we had already paid for (there goes a couple hundred dollars). On Dec 27, on my plane ride back I was still experiencing the symptoms having to run to the bathroom multiple times. The food safety practices are obviously not up to standard and completely ruined my Christmas and vacation. There are obviously fake reviews claiming the food here is amazing or I may be spoiled coming from Vancouver where the food scene is well established. Please think twice about booking here.
