Family of 7. 3 different rooms. We arrived at 7 pm (1 hr away frm cancun airport). Beautiful resort btw. check-in was quick & easy. They couldn't accommodate the rooms next of each other assuming because first come first serve. No biggie thou. Didnt get a resort tour upon arrival because the expedia person had left already. But I was informed we were VIP because of our expedia status but didnt see any benefits. Besides getting 1 extra a la carte dinner reservation. They give u certain amount of ala carte dinner reservation based on how many nights u stay. For us it was 4 nights so we got 3 reservations. Without VIP status its 2. Food was yummy so yummy i came back 3 lbs heavier lol 0 complains on food. The main buffet had some amazing black beans. For dinner u do have to wear long pants & sleeves for men. They have very nice dinner settings. Perfect for date night. Favorite ala carte restaurant was pescador .The oriental was good as well, try the tempura dessert it comes with a small fire show. Cappuccino machine at the buffet fabulous available at all times. The entertainment shows at night move between the theater area to the conference area without notice so gotta be paying attention. Shows were entertaining. The club & sports bar are a good chillin spot but adults only. The views here r just breathtaking. The natural pool behind the beach buffet is just jaw dropping. There's alot of wildlife. The beach here is private its like man made. No access to the public beach

the property was huge with wildlife and tropical forest everywhere. The staff were wonderful - shout out to Hector the beach bartender, Jorje at the taco restaurant, and Noah the concierge at our building(18). There were plenty of things going on and the close proximity of the Xcaret was nice.

I recently stayed at Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The resort is surrounded by nature, giving it a tranquil, tropical vibe. The staff was attentive and helpful, always ensuring we felt welcome. The food options were diverse, with a mix of cuisines that catered to different tastes. The on-site activities and access to Xcaret Park were definite highlights, adding a unique adventure to the stay. One thing to note is that the resort is large, so getting around can take time but the beauty of it makes it worth it. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature with plenty of activities to enjoy, this is a great choice. I’d recommend it for families, couples, or anyone wanting a mix of adventure and relaxation.

We liked how big the resort was and there was plenty of restaurants, bars and pools to go to. The staff was wonderful for the most part, but some could be very pushy about purchasing tours and spa packages. The food wasn’t always the best, it was usually cold and we ended up getting sick from it part way through the trip. All in all it was a good resort and we would definitely come back!

A great location for our family group. Staff was welcoming and unfailingly pleasant throughout. Enjoyed the food options. Favorite buffet for breakfast and lunch was the beach cove. Pools were lovely but the beach cove stood out with plenty of shade for lounging, shallows for the kids and fun snorkeling. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife (though discovered the monkeys know how to open the sliding balcony door to scout for food —had to keep it locked!) Appreciated how the buildings and facilities felt nestled into natural surroundings; walking from one place to another was a treat (but also caught a lift whenever we wanted on the electric carts). Would definitely go there again!
