We came with a group of 14 of us. Staff were accommodating to our group size and were able to get most of us in the same building on check in. So much wildlife! We loved daily visits from the monkeys, getting to pet wild deer, coatis, many macaws throughout the lobby. There is a river that runs right through the lobby with boats that run to Xcaret park next door. Many pools and many bars. For A La carte restaurants, the steak house was just ok. The Italian was good! The oriental was the best restaurant in our opinion. The Mexican restaurant was disappointing- I was expecting more. We did not get to try the seafood place. Check out was a breeze. We would return again!

If you are planning to visit this property, do not expect any good food or clean rooms. We change room 3 times over six night stay because somethings did not work or it just fell apart. Food is americanized and bad tasting, same food is served at Buffet and restaurants. Alcohol is the cheapest you can possibly find with lots of added sugar that cause a headache. Hotel staff is constantly trying to rope you in into a timeshare. A regular person is not allowed at certain parts of the resort because it is only for royal or first class members. If I have to do it over, I would get a different resort and a multi-day park pass to Xcaret.

I love that it was close to Xcaret and we were able to get tours. The staff were very friendly and personable. Bellitna at the Oriental restaurant made sure we got our food in time so we won't be late for the show at Xcaret. Most of all the staff modified our stay given that we didn't get there until 2 days after our reservation because of flight cancelations.

We loved our stay here. The proximity to the xcaret park is awesome but there’s still so much to do and places to relax in the resort itself. Food was hit or miss, typical all inclusive food but everyone was always able to find something they liked. This is a sprawling resort built into nature with lots of wildlife. Staff was amazing and always friendly. The tv in our room didn’t work properly all week but we weren’t there to watch tv anyways.

What I did not like was that you can only make 1 reservation for 1 dinner when you stay at the hotel 3 nights. There should be more oportunities to eat at diferents restaurants the times you want.

Let me start by saying the property is stunning, jungle setting with animals everywhere. It’s a nature-lover’s dream. Monkeys came to our balcony almost daily to hang out. Lots of other animals throughout the property. Easy access to Xcaret Park is a major plus. Beach and pools are nice, definitely a plus for the property. On our third night here, after dinner at the Mexican restaurant, I came down with what I suspect is food poisoning or potentially Norovirus. At about 11:30PM I started getting sick and spent the entire night sick until late into the next morning. After multiple calls to the front desk, no medications could be brought to me because the pharmacy on site was closed, as if they couldn’t open it in case of an emergency. At 7AM the following morning my husband went to the pharmacy and was able to purchase digestive medicines such as Pepto Bismol. I was in bed for the rest of the day after that, very weak and still sick on and off until late morning. The Expedia building concierge was able to arrange toast, bananas, tea, and chicken soup to be delivered to our room since I couldn’t leave. The next day I felt much better but some of the symptoms returned after eating the most mild meals I could find at the buffet and snack bar at which point I stopped eating the food there altogether. If it wasn’t for this food poisoning or whatever this was, I would have given 4 stars, not 5, because I felt the bedding and rooms could be improved. Staff was overall friendly.
