This property is an excellent choice for adults that are looking for a quiet vacation. the pool is not terribly loud during the day, but they do have activities at various times that are enjoyable. Rooms are nice size and well appointed. All dining and bars are easy to access and the property does not require a lot of walking. this hotel has the best fitness center we have seen in our many trips to Riviera Maya. Staff was generally friendly and service was good, with 2 exceptions. The buffet staff are very slow to get your beverages, sometimes we were almost finished with our meal before getting our drinks. Also, the Wednesday night outdoor dinner was terribly planned. Waited in line for 1 hour before getting food, then by the time we got to a table the food was cold and we never saw a waiter so we had no drinks. Restaurants were excellent quality. Overall we were happy and will return on a future visit.

It's a nice property and certainly did the trick for a relaxing weekend. The staff is great, and the SPA was fantastic. The food was good, but without being picky I think it could be better (a permanent Mexican menu would be nice too).

This trip felt less on relaxing and safe and more focused on exploiting international visitors. Specific concerns included: 1. Check-In and Transportation Issues: Upon arrival, we were told our room was not ready and directed to meet with a representative in the lobby as a part of the check-in process. She offered a massage discount in exchange for attending a 90-minute presentation at a different resort. 2. Misrepresented Presentation: The promised 90-minute session turned into a 3-hour experience with an overly persistent salesperson pressuring us to purchase a product. The encounter was unprofessional and felt physically unsafe at times. 3. Dishonest Vendors: Vendors brought onto the resort property sold merchandise at exorbitant prices, including a $70 children’s t-shirt that we later found online for $20. This event was hosted during a lively party where alcohol was being served, which felt intentionally designed to pressure guests into purchasing overpriced items. 4. Shuttle Overcharge: I originally booked a shuttle through Expedia, but the shuttle company (Speedy Shuttle) contacted me to upgrade to a private transfer, citing significant delays with the shared shuttle. I paid an additional $140, only to later discover on their website that the private round trip was valued at $115 total. Despite reaching out to the company about this discrepancy, I’ve received no response. We felt taken advantage of, rather than relaxed.

This is a wonderful property for some relaxing downtime. There are plenty of options for outside excursions, and Playa del Carmen is a short taxi ride away for shopping and dining experiences. The food available at the resort was decent. The food all had beautiful presentation but flavor was sometimes disappointing. Over all we would choose to stay here again! Wonderful beach area, pool area was clean and well maintained and the grounds of the resort were gorgeous.

My partner and I spent Christmas week at the all inclusive Hyatt Zolara Riviera Maya" this past December and found our experience all over the map! First there are a lot of lovely things about this place. The Spa, some of the restaurants, most of the staff that works there, gorgeous swim-up room, and entertainment. Unfortunately there are several issue with our stay that makes us believe that we will probably not be going back to this resort. We talked to many other couples there and this is the general consensus. Here is a list of the good things: Good food at Coffee Republic and Tempest Amazing Mixologists! And very friendly and courteous. Lots of fun. If the whole resort was light The Social and Coffee Republic, it would have been amazing! We loved The Social Bar in the lobby. The Spa Staff and overall beauty of the Spa was wonderful. Ana (water Aerobics) was wonderful Bianca (pool), Elida (El Comodore) were great. Exceptional treatment by Edgar (Concierge) after our injury at the pool. The highest compliments to Andres (lifeguard) who came to our room twice to clean and dress our injury. Loved the Coatis and other wildlife. The Room was gorgeous. Beach huts and towels were great. Vegan Burger at Lola Beach was great. And here is the ugly: Ordered room service and it did not come 1st morning. Received a phone call offering a $200 credit if we came to the front desk, which we wrongfully assumed was due to room service breakfast which didn't arrive, but in actuality

We stayed at the Hyatt the week after Christmas and were very impressed with the staff. Very friendly, accommodating and helpful! Unfortunately, many guests here are the exact opposite - a shame! Lots of “young people” who bawl at night, set off alarms or get drunk. Unfortunately, we didn't like the "Americanization" at all. A little more Mexico would be nice.

We had a wonderful pre holiday visit. The size of the resort suited us to a T. It’s quiet but always activities to be had if you are interested. We really liked our room, and the bed was actually incredible. The property was slightly run down with some deferred maintenance evident. Staff were kind, wonderful and accommodating. Special shout out to Arturo and Edgar!

Over all the property was great only complaint is that there beds were really hard with no pillow top to accommodate it. Pool was cold and was not heated at all. Mixology bar made great drinks but smoker never worked while we were staying there also the elevator was out of order. Great customer service the servers went above and beyond. Very clean but small resort

We had a very nice time at Zilara. We were upgraded for free to an ocean-view room at check in and the room was very roomy and clean. The bathroom was fully stocked and well laid out. The bed was a little firm for my taste, but nothing too offensive. We found the food selections better than most all-inclusives we have been to. We were there for NYE and they had some great entertainment and a very full buffet. There were some logistical issues with the event, but with a little patience, it was easy to overlook.
