The hotel was really good and also the parks but the food wasn’t as the last time I went. Also the remove alcoholic beverages for 2 complete days without previous warning and they made sit at a restaurant to be able to drink. Staff was really rude. I didn’t enjoy my stay.

Terrible Checkout Experience

I’m deeply dissatisfied with how I was treated during checkout at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. While I enjoyed my stay, my departure experience was extremely disappointing. My flight was changed to 6:00 AM the next day. I asked the front desk if I could take the latest airport shuttle, but was told it was only for same-day flights. No alternatives were offered. I had to pay $108 for a private car scheduled for 3:30 AM and was told I could lounge on the property until then. When the car arrived, I had misplaced my checkout slip and requested another copy. I was met with confusion, accused of lying about being on the premises, and told by a manager that he saw me on camera and I had to pay for an extra night. At no point was I told staying on the grounds would result in a charge, nor was I offered the option to extend my stay. Given the late hour, I paid under pressure to avoid missing my flight. I strongly believe this charge was unfair and should be refunded. The handling of the situation lacked clarity, professionalism, and hospitality. I hope this matter can be reviewed and resolved quickly.

We love staying at Xcaret Hotel. My husband and I have stayed at both Hotel Mexico and Arte and had such an amazing stay. The customer service you get there is wonderful. They make you feel right at home. Their buffet, restaurants, and 24 hour room service is so delicious. Our favorite restaurant was Las Cuevas. There is so many things to do there, so you never get bored. They’re all fun inclusive allows you to experience so much more without having to pay extra. We definitely recommend coming here, we look forward to planning our next vacation here.

We came to Hotel Xcaret to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday, and overall, it was a big disappointment. Check-in was a mess—they mixed up our rooms—and check-out was even worse, with an overbooked airport shuttle that almost made us miss our flight. The service at the restaurants was poor. Even with advance reservations, they couldn’t seat our group of 13 together, and they didn’t bother to put the candle we brought on the cakes. It felt like no one cared about customer service—the first answer was “no” to everything. The food quality also wasn’t great—definitely not what you’d expect for what this resort charges. Air conditioning was weak in many areas outside the rooms, especially in some restaurants, making it uncomfortable. There were also no real activities at the hotel itself. Unless you’re going mainly for the included parks, it’s just not worth it. We really expected better.
