Great hotel! Incredibly accessible location - the hotel is close to everything. It's right on quinta, next to ADO and ferry, not to mention all the dining options. We loved the hacienda style - the room was spacious, beautiful and unique, and the hotel had a cozy feeling to it. The best was the big balcony with a nice view. Really worth it for the price!

I loved the feel of this hotel. It reminded me of Encanto. I think that's probably the only positive I can say. Check-in wasn't bad. We were told we could get towels for the beach-no towels. Room service wasn't done cleaning our room when we checked in so I finished helping. No wash clothes... we had ONE to share with 3 people for 5 days. They did not give us more bottled water so we went to Walmart to get some. Showers were FREEZING. Pool was FREEZING. Another guest got beaten up and bled all over the steps and floor... never cleaned up. Nobody spoke English.

To us, this hotel was a genuine Mexican experience. The facility had faded glory. Room was very good with good beds. The hot water was not working on and off. Weird to have a coffee maker but no coffee to make, even when inquired for. Pool is small and in the middle of all the lobby activity. Hotel is right in the Avenida 5 shopping market area but was still quiet.

When we arrived the room had strong smell of urine. We weren't sure if it was from the bathroom or the space outside the bathroom window. It eventually dissipated. Room was spacious bathroom was smaller than expected. The parking lot was closed which required that we park on the street several blocks away.

Muy cómodo para pasear por la 5a avenida. Pero algo ruidoso por la noche ya que las habitaciones dan al patio central y a veces la gente no respeta los horarios de silencio. Muy próximo a la playa también. Buena opción para una o dos noches

Great staff. Accommodated us as quickly as they could as we were early arrivals. Very clean, ample space in room, good beds. Only thing lacking was a refrigerator 😊 Restaurant right next door was great, many options in walking distance.

A well located Mexican gem

This is a lovely, quaint, Mexican-style hotel. The staff was great and very attentive. The hotel is very clean and located centrally in Playa del Carmen - close to the beach, the bus station and 5th Ave. If you are looking for a modern, American-style hotel, this is not for you. You may need to ask for hand towels and supply your own water but the location, the staff and the genuine atmosphere are wonderful.
